Beyonce - Seventeen Magazine January 2009
Beyonce is pretty in pink on the December/January cover of Seventeen magazine.
The 27-year-old Single Ladies singer performed at the World Music Awards along with lil sis Solange Knowles recently and sat down with Seventeen magazine to talk about her album, her marriage to rapper Jay-Z and the lessons she’s learned.
On how she knew the right time to get married: “I feel like you have to get to know yourself, know what you want, spend some time by yourself, and be proud of who you are before you can share that with someone else.”
On the best lesson she’s learned: “I guess probably that we’re all human…you have to find a person you can make it through the tough times with.”
On her competitiveness with fellow artists: “I feel like I’m my competition. I don’t try to compete with other people. I just try to better myself. I go and watch everything that I’ve done.”
