The 19-year-old actress was accompanied by her lil sis Stella and their mom Gina.
Vanessa will soon be gearing up to promote her new film, Bandslam, soon. According to Variety, Summit Entertainment and AEG Live will be teaming up to hype up the battle of the bands film. AEG Live will book dates at select Nokia venues in New York and Los Angeles where Vanessa, co-star Alyson Michalka and other acts from the movie will play to promote the film due out in theaters July 2009.

Truth, I don’t think being with Zac is going to help OR hurt Vanessa. I think when it comes to moving on at this point, it’s her TALENT that will have to carry her. No one should care who she’s with, if she has what it takes.
desiree, I think it’s the same ring; just different sides of it. But you’re right……it means nothing. If it did, and people didn’t make such a big deal of it, Zac would still be wearing his. He just got sick of all the comments, questions, and cybertalk about something that personal.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that I want Zac and Vanessa to break up, or that I think the only way Vanessa can be successful is if she and Zac break up. In my opinion, that’s just as bad as saying the only way she can be successful is if she stays with Zac. I’m just saying that now, more than ever, it’s important for her to create her own identity, before people get too used to the idea of her as Zac’s girlfriend and that’s all she can ever be.
Zac’s career managed to flourish before his private life got put under a microscope. Vanessa didn’t have that advantage. All her dirty laundry is out there for the world to see and people judge based on that. Sad as it is, a lot of the grief and attention Vanessa receives is because of her relationship with Zac. Either some girls are jealous, or some people are more interested in her relationship, or some people only see her as Zac’s girl.
I suppose my downfall is that I have always been, first and foremost, a Vanessa fan and I don’t see much else past that. But then again, I realize that a lot of people are first and foremost Zanessa fans and don’t see much else past that either. If Zanessa were out of the way however, Vanessa would be the only thing people could see and I think that would change how people other than her fans look at her.

I agree with you about what she has against her, and all those people do want her to fail. But it is her life, her personal choices, it is ignorant as a fan to think she should break up with someone just because haters exist to try and her hurt in every way. Maybe you think people will back off if she is without Zac but you do not know Vanessa or anything about her relationship. It make no sense for you to say that she’d be better off.
It’s also sad to respect a person who would just drop people in her life to go “all the way” in her career. A relationship is not a “image” you just shed.
It’s pathetic that all these ashley, zac, zashly, zikki fans etc. who attack her think the way they do but I think Vanessa would be equally disgusted by people who think that her relationship with Zac should be looked at as just another roadblock in her life, without even knowing her personally.

Agree to disagree people. We could sit here and analyze to death what would be best for Vanessa’s social life, romantic life, career life, etc, but at the end of the day, it’s her decision to make, not ours. Personally, I never got caught up in the whole “Zanessa” craze. She could marry him or dump him within the next 24 hours and it wouldn’t concern me in the slightest, as long as she’s happy.
We’re all here for the same reason: to support Vanessa. Remember that. There’s been some tension between Vanessa fans as of late, both here and at VABN, and that’s never a good thing. United we stand, divided we fall. Internal arguements just make a situation that much worse.
Who you are dating or with has NOTHING ultimately to do with anything - if that were the case Nicole Kidman’s career would have ended when Tom dumped her since she was primarily known for being his wife. Instead she won an Oscar and had a string of really good films. Jennifer Aniston would have disappeared after Brad Pitt since though Friends was a great success (like HSM for Vanessa) Aniston was still Brad Pitts girlfriend and then wife.
I could give a list of examples but you get the idea.
Some of you say she’s known primarily as Zac’s girlfriend which I think is wrong–producers hire actresses and it seems some are interested.
If we are to follow your thinking, if they break up she would become “the girl Zac dumped” everywhere she goes and that would be worse and of course a million excuses would be made by fans why he was right to do it because he’s hot and therefore can’t be wrong .(spare me!). You see the probelm I have with your reasoning ?
I think she’s her own person and most intelligent industry folk know that.
People call me a person who still believes in love. Zac said, not exact quote, what is between a couple is sacred and others should just keep their noses out. See what happens when we don’t. You know #1 there’s Vanessa, and #2 there’s Zac, then……………there is the couple. They are individuals this is true and should be kept so, but they can be a couple and still prosper. There are many couples who do. It takes a wisdom, determination and support that comes from family and the one you love and trust. As this has been said before, this couple has weathered a many a storms and stood together. I Pray each one of them have a great long career and lasting love that grows daily. I’m not saying all things will be perfect, I’m not that silly, but I’ve been married for 39 years and we were married at the tender age of 17 years of age. NO WE DID NOT HAVE TO GET MARRIED! Our parents saw that we were determined so they signed for us. I love him more each and every day and would hate to think of my life with out him. This almost happened this past summer. So though #1 Vanessa and #2 Zac then #3 Couple. I hope you understand my rambling.

Also, people need to understand that if Vanessa does not have the goods to go on and have a successful career from this point it is not due to being with Zac Efron. She either has talent that those in the business will see or she doesn’t have what they want. They don’t care who she is with. And if she would break up with Zac so she could have a better career then there isn’t much there between these two to begin with—certainly not 3 years worth. So this conversation is totally ridiculous.
And for those of you who think it might be better for Vanessa to part ways with Zac due to so many people only interested in her because she is part of “Zanessa”, well, Zac gets the same treatmentt. Go on his latest thread and nearly every other post is someone posting about Vanessa or asking about “Zanessa”. As someone spoke earlier and I have said this too on an early thread, be a fan of Vanessa or Zac or both but don’t think if you see one without the other that you must demand they come together. They are not Simease twins. There is Vanessa and there is Zac and they have separate careers. These two are also a couple and must be very happy with each other to have endured for 3 years with this craziness and constant speculaton. They certainly are not together to please all of you.

I think it is safe to say that Zac has already dumped Vanessa becuase he wants this big hollywood career and thinks he is better than her, no wonder he was so smiley when he was sat with Leo he’s probably going to follow in Leo’s early path of going to clubs and having a different girl every week, and so Vanessa does’nt fit into that part of his life anymore.
The ring she is wearinbg in the photo’s does’nt look like the Kuppio ring it just looks like a plain gold one she could have easily brought it herself.
Over a week with no news of me efron which is’nt a bad thing and Vanessa seems to be able to carry on going out and about without him quite happily.

ughhh……well said. A relationship with someone you love deeply isn’t something you shed just because you want to get ahead in your career. A relationship like that, is one you take with you, it’s the one you want to share life with, …….the one you can’t live without.
No career is worth giving that up for…….you may have to work a bit harder to prove yourself, but is SOOO worth it.
#185, I agree with pretty much everything that you said! I am definitely on the same page as you when it comes to thinking of them asindividuals first and then as a couple. Because I am a fan of both of them individually, I want to see them go far in their careers! And it is just natural to also wish them happiness in their personal lives. I guess you could say that I am a Zanessa fan, but since I love these two individuals so much, I’d much rather have them both be happy- whether that means they are together or not.
Mr. Efron is back from visiting his family in San Luis Obispo. He was with Vanessa yesterday and last night.
