Vanessa Hudgens Gets Her Green On
Birthday girl Vanessa Hudgens poses with BFFs Olesya Rulin and Jennifer Stone at the 2008 Environmental Youth Conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center in L.A. on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old actress and her friends, joined by pals David Henrie and Alyson Stoner, participated in introducing key-note speaker, Alec Loorz. They also helped promote Million Trees LA which is a cooperative effort between the City of Los Angeles, community groups, businesses, and individuals working together to plant and provide long-term stewardship of one million trees planted where they’re needed most.

Sweet, great event! It’s cute to see her together with Olesya, kind of like when they went to the basketball game together. & she worked with Jeniffer Stone a long time ago, it’s crazy they both ended up seeing each other again.
I wonder if she had that dress or just recently got it to fit the theme of the event.

#29, no JJ doesn’t delete all bad comments only ones that are over the top and abusive (foul language death threats etc). Its just that she has more good comments than bad. Good to see young actors out for a good cause.

I find it a little hypocritical when stars are saying that they care about the environment and yet they spend a lot of their time driving around in gas guzzling suv’s to buy coffee in disposable plastic cups. If you’re going to promote something as being an important issue to you, you should make more of an effort. People need to spend less time raising awareness and more time putting their money where their mouth is and actually trying to live a more sustainable life style.

How is it that even when celebrities try to do something nice for the enviornment, it’s still not enough. It’s not like anyone here criticizing her is helping the environment much by sitting on their asses in front of the computer while it sucks up massive amounts of energy. The fact that she even went to that conference says a lot actually. You’d have to physically drag most people her age to attend things like that, myself included.
Again Vanessa can’t do right for wrong whatever she does there’s always someone ready to have a go.
None of us know her views on this kind of thing so if she feels that she wanted to attend and have her say then fair enough tons of other people were their doing the same thing.
And Vanessa does’nt drive a big gussling car she drives a Audi just like Zac does, but it’s her choice what she drives.

I’m not criticizing Vanessa specifically, just celebs in general who do this. So many of them preach on the importance of being “green” and yet when you look at the way they live their life with all the unecessary excess and whatnot it just seems like a publicity stunt since being green seems to be the “in” thing these days. It takes more than just saying it’s important, if you actually care about an issue you should take measures to try to prevent it.
I’m not trying to start a fight or anything im just trying to point out the hypocrisy of it because it’s frustrating when you see celebs getting all this praise for being environmentally conscious and yet when you look at their day to day actions its obvious that they don’t really care that much. That being said there are also many celebs who actually walk the walk and really do a lot to try to live and promote a more sustainable lifestly and i really admire them for it.
Once again for all you V fans, don’t take this as a personal attack on her, i didn’t really mean it that way. You’re right i don’t know her personally, im just commenting on celebs who do this in general and what i’ve observed.

You numbnuts do realize not only are there millions of sites on the internet but celebs have PR people who filter out comments for their client IF they decide to pass them on which I would assume rarely happens. Regardless of what you might think, celebrities have a jam packed schedule and don’t have time to Google websites and read every comment written about them. Do you honestly believe Vanessa’s agent is going to come up to her and say, sorry hun, but Jane Doe doesn’t approve of your dress or your hair so make the necessary changes to keep Jane happy because you won’t get love, fame or fortune without this persons support. Say all you want to say about this OBVIOUSLY gorgeous girl, but at then end of the day, she still has her family, it’s pretty obvious she still has her doting boyfriend, a brain that isn’t intimidated and has the ability to think for it’s self, and her MILLIONS of loving fans.
You know the really funny part is, while you’re here hating and sulking away, she’s probably sitting in bubble bath listening to her ipod thinking how blessed she is and how damn amazing her life turned out to be. Something people can only dream of.
