Michael Copon: I’m Not Jacob Black…Yet
Hoping for the role of a lifetime, Michael Copon opened up to PopStar.com and dished about becoming a part of the Twilight empire.
The 26-year-old former One Tree Hill bad boy cleared up all the rumors floating around the internet about filling Taylor Lautner’s shoes in the role of Jacob Black. He shared, “I think that it is pretty clear that there are huge rumors going around the Internet about me up for the role as Jacob Black. At this point, they are only rumors. There are a lot of opinions going around on the Internet about this role. It is definitely a role of a lifetime and I would love to have that chance.”

if only summit could read these comments they would see the majority of people want taylor to stay as jacob! seriously if they replace him they are going to have a lot of angry fans on their hands and they will lose more than they will gain.

I don’t like this guy…i found him really annoying as Felix in season 2 of one tree hilll…..but that might also mean that he’s a good actor…..still i don’t want him to play jacob…..i liked taylor but he’s too small for the massive jacob in new moon…

How exactly is Taylor perfect as Jacob? Is Jacob supposed to be shorter than Bella? How do you suggest they make him that much taller and older looking for the new movie? Just read the books, for crying out loud! It’s just not possible to have read them and still think Taylor is right for the role of Jacob in New Moon.

Jacob in New Moon looks a lot older than he did in Twilight.
By the end of his transformation, even he says he’s closer to looking 25 than he is to 16… not to mention his height which makes him taller than Edward (supposedly).
Taylor just doesn’t have that height, nor the look of a 25 year old.
Why spend cash on special effects to make him look older, when you can get an actor that will look the part without it ?
