Miley Cyrus Presents $60K To Diabetes Clinic
Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray pose with a few lucky kids at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt on Tuesday afternoon in Nashville, Tenn.
The 16-year-old pop star and her dad presented a $60,000 check to the Vanderbilt Eskind Diabetes Clinic on behalf of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Billy Ray shared, “It’s all about the kids and trying to spread a little Christmas cheer. The staff here at Vanderbilt do such an incredible job. Just here to make the kids smile a little bit, sing some and hopefully make the holiday season a little brighter.”

ok, that is really rude to say Miley is doing this for publicity. She might have alot of money, but 60,000 dollars is ALOT! I love the Jonas Brothers, but I did think it was puny when they just donated 10,000 dollars once to a charity. This is very sweet of Miley. and most celebs do make is a publicity thing. so please. don’t judge her cause I’m sure your favorite celeb has done the same.
i have to say maybe she is doing it to get nick’s attention, i mean it is kinda true, maybe!
but then again she does have something like it so maybe she is doing out of the kindness of her heart! im not so sure though it is a little weird that she was donating to a diabetic people. its weird i dont know what to think, but everyone just needs to lay off her! she is a teenage girl! leave her alone! so she has made mistakes, have you? yeah
I think that maybe Miley first became aware of the seriousness of diabetes when she and Nick were dating. It’s nice that she is still contributing to the cause. I think that she and Nick are still friends even though they are not dating. I’m curious about the amount though. $60,000? With her money you would think they would round it off to $100,000. Maybe she gives to other causes and just divides it equally.

It’s all about the christmas cheer ok? And it is natural for any celebrity to donate to charity, and how was this just a ploy to get Nick’s attention, there are so many other ways to get Nick’s attention, but this was something doing out of Christmas Cheer. This is for DavidHenrieLuver and meepo.
And I thought what Miley did was beautiful because of the christmas spirit cheer, and I thought she looked great because that proves that she doesn’t care about her looks, but the spirit in giving.

Even though I don’t particularly like Miley, I do feel like people need to be reminded of this. Everyone’s always complaining about how celebrities like her don’t do enough for the community, don’t give back or volunteer, or whatever. But when they DO actually help out, everyone questions their motives. And while the whole diabetes thing may seem suspicous to some, and one big photo-op to others, why does that have to be the FIRST thing people assume? It is possible that she’s doing exactly what people say she doesn’t do enough of, helping out.
even if its for the wrong reason, at least she donated.
