I gotta laugh at the Nikki quote, it’s so obvious that she hasn’t talked to him at all, Zac has said…she’s only going by what she’s seen when he’s been asked in that one interview, he said he knew nothing about it but said he possibly would, but as if he could say anything else on camera. John isn’t doing it(rip Jett) and the plot sounds hideous. I for one hope he doesn’t do it, Footloose and HS2 would be too much. I think he should do Footloos and more movies like 17again, which looks amazing!

I’m not sure if he should do Hairspray 2 or not. Sometimes they make sequels that are not needed, and sometimes said sequels bomb. If everyone else agrees to come back, maybe, but not if the whole cast doesn’t come back. I hate sequels that are made without the entire cast, and it ruins the movie. It all really depends on the cast and the script. Nikki Blonsky shouldn’t have said she really wanted to come back, because now they won’t offer her as much money. Zac is really good at not saying how much he would love to be in a movie, and he gets a lot of money out of it.

If Martha is thinking the same as me, it was an HSM3 promo thing when he was asked about the cast and how they all got along etc, and he mentioned on another film he had had problems with someone. It implied Nikki, though he never mentioned the film, you could tell that’s what he meant.

Also, when he accepted the award at the MTV Movie awards and Nikki shouted ‘I love you Zac’ and he was just like ‘yeah erm…’ arkward. She is so desperate and it is so sick to see.

The script for HS2 is so bad it’s almost laughable. Zac should stay well clear of it, just like john.

#81 I think you will find that he said he wants a career like them ie. The way they are dedicated to their craft, to acting, not the fame or the media, the job and they love it. So yes, for your information Zac is like them: he loves acting and has since he was little, he isn’t interested in anything else, he is just a normal kid. Oscar’s aren’t everything, in fact they are just the industry honouring the flavour of the month, in real terms, they mean nothing, it always the same Pool of people being awarded, predictable and a bit of a joke sometimes. although I don’t like Nikki, she’s a good actress and she was a brilliant Tracey. She’s not why I don’t want Zac to do the film. (Zac and V are fine, he is comitted to her, although Nikki doesn’t seem to realise fully, Zac loves V and their relationship is for them only.) It’s the script. That awlful awlful plot that Adam said John is working on. Well, no offence to the apparent genuis of John.W, but it sucks. He’s probably high, hasn’t had much to do since Hairspray and is being offered $ to write the damn thing. It’s terrible and I sincerley hope that Zac won’t do it. If John is doing it that is a bad sign. He needs to move on from musicals, more films like 17again are the way to go. Not the trainwreck that will be HS2.

For me, the reason why I wouldn’t want Zac to do HS2 has nothing to do with Nikki, I just think that it’s a terrible plot and I really want him to wait with doing another musical for a while, well, at least until after ’17 again’ comes out, and I’m not sure about ‘footloose’ either, but Kenny is working on that and I love Kenny so at least I have hope for that.

I do have to agree with what some of you have said though, I don’t know why some say that Zac is still best friends with Nikki, there isn’t one single candid photo of them together, and don’t say that they live in different cities, because we all know that Zac have been in NYC and Nikki have been in LA, she didn’t even attend his birthday party, which 2 others of his former HS co-stars did. The only pics and videos we have are HS related stuff, heck, even at the Palm Springs Film Festival last year there isn’t any pics of them together, and the once they were both in, Vanessa and Brittany were in between. Now, they might still talk on the phone, I’m not saying that they don’t but some how I doubt it’s often enough to call each other “best friends”, besides, Zac’s best friends are Bubba Lewis (I think that is his name), they have known each other for years, and Vanessa (he said in an interview that she was his best friend on the HSM set and they really hit it of from the start and started out as friends before they became a couple, and everyone knows that you need to be best friends at the same time as you are a couple to be able to make things work for so long, it’s usually how it works), he’s also close to Ashley, and these are all people we have seen him out and about with even when it isn’t anything work related, and neither of them have ever used Zac to get more attention and fame, which I think says a lot.
Now, I’m not trying to bad talk Nikki, because I don’t think anyone deserves it, but I think that she has a lot to learn still, and should hire people who will help her when it comes to pr stuff, because she doesn’t have to right to talk for others, friends or not. And you can argue with me on this if you want, and you might be right, this is just my opinion.

I am not a tweenie or teen and I DO have faith in Zac and Vanessa’s relationship. BUT I think Zac should stay clear of Nikki Blonsky as she never knows when to keep her mouth shut and she is really pushy. As someone said, she has a lot to learn.

And on the side here when it comes to candid photos—-as someone said, NOT ONE since the promotions of HS—and they weren’t really candids, they were part of the promos. He didn’t even look like he was thrilled to be in those few at the Palm Springs Film Festival even though he had Vanessa and BS in them. Then at the MTV awards where she yelled out how she loved him when he mentioned her name to be respectful there was not ONE picture of them together or her with Zac and Vanessa. I always thought that said something since he won for that very movie.

1. He would love the experience of making that movie again.
2. He would love working with icons such a Chris Walken, John Travolta, Queen Latifa, etc, again.
3 That was a safe comment not to hurt anyone’s feelings since saying you would love to do it again is a lot different than DOING it again.

Given that a lot has happened since the first HS came out—Nikki saying a lot of things she shouldn’t have and continually makes it sound like there is something between her and Zac, his feelings about doing a sequel may have changed if he indeed thought he’d be interested in doing a sequel to begin with.

Also, given that he would not even do HSM3 for the big screen until he was able to read the script, I seriously doubt he would agree to do HS2 without first having script approval. He seems to be a guy who finds that an important aspect before agreeing to do a role—which is very smart—and if he has that kind of clout then he should stick to it.

aaah i hate hate HATE nikki, bleurghhhhhhh.

Any real fan of Zac would not want him to do HS 2 regardless of who he is starring with.

Even if they change the entire cast and bring in Oscar winners, it’s still a bad career choice for him and would take him back a step when his mates are surging on.

I can already imagine the media labelling him a one trick pony. He has competition from Rob from Twilight, Emile Hirsch, Shia, Lucas Grabeel, etc . they are his contemporaries and are swiftly making their mark in an intensely competitive industry.

Any real fan of Zac who believes in his potential would hate to see him loose out just by making a poor career choice. Box-office success does not equal respect or career success in hollywood. I, personally, would hate to see how the critics would banish his career if he ever does HS2.

I would still feel the same way, and protest really loudly, if I heard he was considering doing HSM 4 with Vanessa and the rest of the wildcats, so it has nothing to do with who his castmates are. The critics would still slay them and I would hate that.

I am a fan of both Zac and Van but I don’t want them to star in a movie together in the near future because it would not be good for either of their careers. They need to branch out and prove themselves individually.

It’s about really caring for Zac and his career rather than pushing my own silly agenda. That’s what real fans do.

Contrary to what people think, as far as I’m concerned, their relationship is more than strong enough to handle anything. I don’t even need the evidence Karen #100 has clearly pointed out to know that NONE of his co-stars pose any credible threat to his personal life. They are not part of it.

Any sensible person who follows Zac news can easily tell who his close friends are. Even the tabloids can tell. Right from when he was taken ill, to pics at events, to his birthday and candid pics. We all know what’s what and it would be stupid to engage in debates about non-issues.

Like Karen, I choose to give the Zac the benefit of the doubt. He’s a smart and intelligent guy who is able to make good logical decisions so I believe he’ll insist on reading the script first. Even with that, he must know that another musical is not a good move since he’s committed to Footloose.

I know he has his family, management and real friends who care about his career and will advise him sensibly to stay clear of musicals for a while.

Until I hear him officially confirm it, I’ll take what every other person says like the nonsense it is.

As an adult, there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Zac and Vanessa are completely in-love. In fact, I’ve never seen anything like this before. People go through life trying to find the type of relationship they have already establised at such a young age. I believe they have shown us that age isn’t a factor if you have the knowledge. Some people tend to muture more rapidly then others. Zac and Vanessa are way ahead of their years and the way they handle their relationship shows that.

The difference between mature fans and adolescent fans is that we don’t fantasize ourselves with these kids, therefore we can step back and appreciate and admire how in-love they are without our biased opinions affecting our judgements or denying the facts. There is so much intense history between these two that it really is overwhelming. I don’t think they’ve even made leaving each other an option. They have literally been through pretty much everything together and have never left each others side since they first met over 3 years ago which hardly happens, especially in Hollywood where the pressure of fame does build up and get the worst of people. Their reunion at this years Teen choice awards shows how much they hate being apart but understand since they’re in the same business. They were only separated for 3 days and were ecstatic to see each other again.

As Karen mentioned, I also believed Zac was taken in by Vanessa before they even met. When he went to the premier of Thunderbirds, not only did he say that he wanted to meet her and made attempts to approach her, but he also said he wished to work along side her one day. I suppose that’s where his, “Working with Vanessa was a dream come true”, comment came from.

From everything I’ve seen and read, it’s obvious Zac is more crazy about her then she is (and she loves him a lot). In the interview where the reporter asked about their chemistry, Zac was more excited and eager to talk about it then Vanessa was and he wouldn’t let her finish a proper sentence. I thought it was adorable that he just couldn’t contain himself. Zac was also the first to say their meeting was “fate” to which Vanessa joked “it was written in the stars”. In all of his interviews where Vanessa is present, he can’t keep his eyes off of her and listens to her very intently. Believe me, reading body language is my specialty. He has a very strong physical attraction to her that almost seems magnetic. Zac is so attracted to her that he has said he doesn’t care if she wears make-up or not he finds her beautiful either way (though he prefers her without it). He truly does love her unconditionally.

I find his interviews with Vanessa the most amusing because you can cleary see how much he adores her and consideres them as being “one”. This is more evident in their Moviefone Unscripted interview. Almost every time Vanessa had to ask a question or answer one, he would take it upon himself to come-up with something with her like what was hers, was his as well. Each time he is asked a question, he pretty much always starts with “we” and looks towards Vanessa (you can see one example in his radio interview during the London HSM3 promos where he discusses how they have learnt to avoid the paparazzi and where he also admits his ringtone was “Forever your girl” which was very cute). I liked that he answered the question about how many kids he wanted with Vanessa right there. It shows a level of comfort. Most guys wouldn’t really answer that and brush it off. Again, very cute.

Zac really isn’t your typical guy (personally wise) that you expect somebody of his appearance to be. He isn’t a cheater and he has said long ago that he wants to find one girl and stick to her. He is very dedicated to Vanessa regardless of all the famale attention he receives. That’s why Vanessa doesn’t get jealous (not any more) they both are confident about what they have. He naturally finds the need to keep her protected at all times from any kind of harm. He has even called her his “damsel in distress”. Vanessa has also inspired him to sing a song to her. When she was asked about it, she said it was quite “random” when he did that. He likes spending money on her even buying her clothes many times. The reason why Vanessa is his “perfect match” (as quoted by several co-stars including Ashley) is because she fits his personality like a glove. They are both equally mature and goofey. They share the same passion and understand each other inside out. Many people, including Vanessa herself, have said they “complete each others sentences” and share the same sense of humor. This list really is endless.

They are so pure and romantic with each other that it’s adorable to watch. That’s why I say instead of picking them apart, just admire what they have and be happy they found somebody they love being with.

#135 I kinda agree with you but I don’t think it’s fair to say he is one dimensional. If anything, Zac is more talented in being able to do musicals. It’s a well known fact that to do a play or a musical is far more demanding on ones time and really tests a persons acting ability than say being Leo and doing another boring action/serious movie. Musicals are hot right now, and Zac is the main man. He is a triple threat, four if you count his looks, five is you count his charm. He’s one of a kind. I have seen a lot of the promo stuff for 17 and it looks amazing. He is super funny, and 17 is going to showcase that. It does matter at the end of the day what so called critics or ‘movie buffs’ or whatever think, Zac has great advisors and a very intelliget outlook on his career and he will do what’s best for him. For me, Footloose is a must, he will be a great Ren, and with Kevin’s blessing I know the movie will be good. As for HS2, I think the whole concept is just bad and there does not need to be a sequal. I don’t want him to do it, but like I said, he will do what is right for him.

I do however get the feeling that he won’t do it. He took so long to think about hsm2 and hm3, and he loves Kenny and he cast, he will seriously be considiering this one hard I would think. When he said he was interested he was just being nicoe, I bet he hadn’t heard about the intended plot or anything, any fan will know that Zac is always nice like that. I’m sure his choice will be the right one for him though. He’s a good guy.

First, I want to say that Zac up to this point has made very level headed decisions and it seems that he has a pretty good team behind him who knows Zac and understands what is good for him and what he wants. So, I am in hopes that will continue when it comes to the HS2 situation.

Him and Vanessa? I think it is too easy for many people to dismiss their feelings for each other as puppy love. What is that anyway? I mean, love is LOVE. Nobody should discard that. Even somebody like Demi Lovato—nothing against her—who dated a guy for a short time and now has broken up. Each experience teaches a person about love and the give and take of a relationship and how to make it work. It’s just that some people seem to have a more natural knack for it or they learn faster, or it comes sooner than it does to others. And after 3 years together where things are getting deeper and more intimate it would show that this is way beyond any “puppy love”. They are serious and it is real. Even if it wold end in the next year given it has gone this long nobody should discount it as being a trivial thing. Sarah Jessica Parker got fell for Robert Downey Jr when she was 18 years old and lived with him for like 8 years! And this was a young man who had drug problems but the feelings were strong enough to keep them going. Do you think it should be dismissed as a “puppy love” kind of romance since she was only 18 when they began and it was probably her first serious relationship?

I have several friends who got together when we were in High School, they went to college together, got married after they graduated, and have grown children but are still going strong after 35+ years! There is no rule that says just because someone is under the age of 25 they can’t find a long lasting relationship with someone. One expert said when viewing the Lakers pictures of them how they are very comfortable in each other’s company. Well, after being married myself for nearly 25 years I can tell you that is a very important aspect to have if you hope to last for years to come. But I know it is easy for older people to have a cynical view when it comes to “young love”. But there is no certainty to life no matter what the age of a person.

Lastly, I think one of the things that “saves” this relationship and why it does not go the way of Hollywood is the fact that Zac and Vanessa have strong family ties, are secure in the love of their families, and are secure in their love for each other in the fact that they don’t need to go looking for acceptance or a false love in the nightclub scene or being around other celebrities who are looking for something they don’t have themselves. They got what they want or certainly what makes them feel secure and complete so end of story.

As Farrah says, let’s wish them the best and quit picking at them. It only shows your cynicism.
