Zac Efron Shops Big — Costco Big

The 21-year-old actor, who continued to rock out his Diesel “Thanaz 8LP” jeans and CPO Jacket, is said to return for the Hairspray sequel. His costar Nikki Blonsky said earlier this week, “Zac has said he’d love to do it again, and I know Brittany Snow is down for sure. I don’t know about Amanda [Bynes]. I hope she will. I want to put on my Tracy Turnblad wig again and dance my little heart out.”

Why don’t people want Zac to do HS2? As the guy won’t do a solo album I rely on his movie soundtracks for my daily Zac fix!
I like Nikki. Usually.
But here, she’s stepping out of line. She should not be confirming projects Zac has not confirmed himself. It’s presumptuous and offensive.
I would love to see Zac in HS2, but I would rather he confirm it himself rather than be tied up in media pressure.

It’s great Ellen, but if he keeps doing musicals he will most definitly typecast himself. He has said himself that he wants to get away from that, and we would like to see him get into something other than musicals as well. If he makes wise decisions, then he can always come back to musicals later if that is where his heart is, but the sooner he can establish himself the better.
Also, the heard about the script, and it sounds completely stupid. Considering that that was what was important for him with HSM3, I would think that is what would make him reconsider HS2 on some level.

Taking out the Nikki factor in this one, I think Zac should not do HS2 simply because it will be a wise career move for him to branch out and not to become too identified with musicals at this point in his career. Majority of his fans think the same and hopefully his PR team are looking at the forums and blogs and know the buzz that those closely following his career are not in favor of him doing HS2.
As for Nikki, I’m not gonna deny that this girl rubs me the wrong way. Not because she is a threat to ZV but mainly because her over zealous and inappropriate name dropping has gone too far for me IMO.

As an adult, there is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Zac and Vanessa are completely in-love. In fact, I’ve never seen anything like this before. People go through life trying to find the type of relationship they have already establised at such a young age. I believe they have shown us that age isn’t a factor if you have the knowledge. Some people tend to muture more rapidly then others. Zac and Vanessa are way ahead of their years and the way they handle their relationship shows that.
The difference between mature fans and adolescent fans is that we don’t fantasize ourselves with these kids, therefore we can step back and appreciate and admire how in-love they are without our biased opinions affecting our judgements or denying the facts. There is so much intense history between these two that it really is overwhelming. I don’t think they’ve even made leaving each other an option. They have literally been through pretty much everything together and have never left each others side since they first met over 3 years ago which hardly happens, especially in Hollywood where the pressure of fame does build up and get the worst of people. Their reunion at this years Teen choice awards shows how much they hate being apart but understand since they’re in the same business. They were only separated for 3 days and were ecstatic to see each other again.
As Karen mentioned, I also believed Zac was taken in by Vanessa before they even met. When he went to the premier of Thunderbirds, not only did he say that he wanted to meet her and made attempts to approach her, but he also said he wished to work along side her one day. I suppose that’s where his, “Working with Vanessa was a dream come true”, comment came from.
From everything I’ve seen and read, it’s obvious Zac is more crazy about her then she is (and she loves him a lot). In the interview where the reporter asked about their chemistry, Zac was more excited and eager to talk about it then Vanessa was and he wouldn’t let her finish a proper sentence. I thought it was adorable that he just couldn’t contain himself. Zac was also the first to say their meeting was “fate” to which Vanessa joked “it was written in the stars”. In all of his interviews where Vanessa is present, he can’t keep his eyes off of her and listens to her very intently. Believe me, reading body language is my specialty. He has a very strong physical attraction to her that almost seems magnetic. Zac is so attracted to her that he has said he doesn’t care if she wears make-up or not he finds her beautiful either way (though he prefers her without it). He truly does love her unconditionally.
I find his interviews with Vanessa the most amusing because you can cleary see how much he adores her and consideres them as being “one”. This is more evident in their Moviefone Unscripted interview. Almost every time Vanessa had to ask a question or answer one, he would take it upon himself to come-up with something with her like what was hers, was his as well. Each time he is asked a question, he pretty much always starts with “we” and looks towards Vanessa (you can see one example in his radio interview during the London HSM3 promos where he discusses how they have learnt to avoid the paparazzi and where he also admits his ringtone was “Forever your girl” which was very cute). I liked that he answered the question about how many kids he wanted with Vanessa right there. It shows a level of comfort. Most guys wouldn’t really answer that and brush it off. Again, very cute.
Zac really isn’t your typical guy (personally wise) that you expect somebody of his appearance to be. He isn’t a cheater and he has said long ago that he wants to find one girl and stick to her. He is very dedicated to Vanessa regardless of all the famale attention he receives. That’s why Vanessa doesn’t get jealous (not any more) they both are confident about what they have. He naturally finds the need to keep her protected at all times from any kind of harm. He has even called her his “damsel in distress”. Vanessa has also inspired him to sing a song to her. When she was asked about it, she said it was quite “random” when he did that. He likes spending money on her even buying her clothes many times. The reason why Vanessa is his “perfect match” (as quoted by several co-stars including Ashley) is because she fits his personality like a glove. They are both equally mature and goofey. They share the same passion and understand each other inside out. Many people, including Vanessa herself, have said they “complete each others sentences” and share the same sense of humor. This list really is endless.
They are so pure and romantic with each other that it’s adorable to watch. That’s why I say instead of picking them apart, just admire what they have and be happy they found somebody they love being with.
Currently, the only thing I see in Zac Efron as an actor that he basically does musical movies roles and any movies roles that involve singing, dancing, and high school roles. Zac has already done musical for HSM1, HSM2, Hairspray, and HSM3. Now if he decided to do Hairspray 2 that would be his 5th musical movies roles and has been doing a musical movie each year since 2006. The way it look, Zac Efron is one diminsional actor with no depth in his acting skills. I have seen clips of his trailers for Seventeen and MAOW, however, Zac’s acting seem like the same character and personalities as he is in Summerland, HSM and Hairspray.
If Zac wants to considered doing action type of movie, he will have to get away from musical movies for awhile. Zac does have many upside to his acting skills, however, he needs to expand himself out from musical movies and high school roles also being a lover boy role (the boy that always get to kiss the girl role).
Basically what I am saying is that there are many other movie buffs like myself will be looking at Zac that way. I think Zac is good actor in musical movies and high school roles, but he still have to prove that he is bonefide actor by doing more adult and serious movie roles. I hope Zac will not do HS2.

the only thing i would disagree with is that the misguided delusions that your refer to are sadly not exclusive to his young fans.
#135 I kinda agree with you but I don’t think it’s fair to say he is one dimensional. If anything, Zac is more talented in being able to do musicals. It’s a well known fact that to do a play or a musical is far more demanding on ones time and really tests a persons acting ability than say being Leo and doing another boring action/serious movie. Musicals are hot right now, and Zac is the main man. He is a triple threat, four if you count his looks, five is you count his charm. He’s one of a kind. I have seen a lot of the promo stuff for 17 and it looks amazing. He is super funny, and 17 is going to showcase that. It does matter at the end of the day what so called critics or ‘movie buffs’ or whatever think, Zac has great advisors and a very intelliget outlook on his career and he will do what’s best for him. For me, Footloose is a must, he will be a great Ren, and with Kevin’s blessing I know the movie will be good. As for HS2, I think the whole concept is just bad and there does not need to be a sequal. I don’t want him to do it, but like I said, he will do what is right for him.
I do however get the feeling that he won’t do it. He took so long to think about hsm2 and hm3, and he loves Kenny and he cast, he will seriously be considiering this one hard I would think. When he said he was interested he was just being nicoe, I bet he hadn’t heard about the intended plot or anything, any fan will know that Zac is always nice like that. I’m sure his choice will be the right one for him though. He’s a good guy.

First, I want to say that Zac up to this point has made very level headed decisions and it seems that he has a pretty good team behind him who knows Zac and understands what is good for him and what he wants. So, I am in hopes that will continue when it comes to the HS2 situation.
Him and Vanessa? I think it is too easy for many people to dismiss their feelings for each other as puppy love. What is that anyway? I mean, love is LOVE. Nobody should discard that. Even somebody like Demi Lovato—nothing against her—who dated a guy for a short time and now has broken up. Each experience teaches a person about love and the give and take of a relationship and how to make it work. It’s just that some people seem to have a more natural knack for it or they learn faster, or it comes sooner than it does to others. And after 3 years together where things are getting deeper and more intimate it would show that this is way beyond any “puppy love”. They are serious and it is real. Even if it wold end in the next year given it has gone this long nobody should discount it as being a trivial thing. Sarah Jessica Parker got fell for Robert Downey Jr when she was 18 years old and lived with him for like 8 years! And this was a young man who had drug problems but the feelings were strong enough to keep them going. Do you think it should be dismissed as a “puppy love” kind of romance since she was only 18 when they began and it was probably her first serious relationship?
I have several friends who got together when we were in High School, they went to college together, got married after they graduated, and have grown children but are still going strong after 35+ years! There is no rule that says just because someone is under the age of 25 they can’t find a long lasting relationship with someone. One expert said when viewing the Lakers pictures of them how they are very comfortable in each other’s company. Well, after being married myself for nearly 25 years I can tell you that is a very important aspect to have if you hope to last for years to come. But I know it is easy for older people to have a cynical view when it comes to “young love”. But there is no certainty to life no matter what the age of a person.
Lastly, I think one of the things that “saves” this relationship and why it does not go the way of Hollywood is the fact that Zac and Vanessa have strong family ties, are secure in the love of their families, and are secure in their love for each other in the fact that they don’t need to go looking for acceptance or a false love in the nightclub scene or being around other celebrities who are looking for something they don’t have themselves. They got what they want or certainly what makes them feel secure and complete so end of story.
As Farrah says, let’s wish them the best and quit picking at them. It only shows your cynicism.
I remember when someone said to Vanessa that people were saying that her relationship with Zac is fake or something like that. She said I know what’s real and what’s not and that’s all that matters..something like that lol I can’t really remember exactly but yeah.I totally agree with #142 they are in love and are serious, to tell you the truth I’ve never seen a couple like them.I think it’s really cute that they love each other.

Hi Karen hope your well and wishing you a happy new year.
As usual your spot on it’s s shame that so many people try and dampen the love that Zac and Vanessa have just becuase they did get together at a young age, as you say Love is love none of us know when or if it will come along in our lives and if it does like it did with Z and V then that’s something to cherish and build on it if that’s what feels right.
Like you I have friends who got together young and are still going strong now and have kids as well. You know your own feelings about someone wheather your 17 or 24 after all it’s your heart that’s involved and nobody but you know’s how that other person makes you feel when you see them however long you’ve been apart it could be 3 days or just one day, I never worked with my husband but could’nt wait to see him at the end of the day and just spend time with him and we have 3 children and have been together 23 years this April and those feelings between us are just as strong if not stronger now then in the begining.
You can see how they both look at the othert when they are speaking how proud they are of each other and how they listehn as it’s been said intently to what they each say and they both always have a big smile when they do it. They 98% of the time always stand close to one another they may not hold hands that ofthen but it’s like they don’t like not being close to one another, people just need to look at all the promo things they do and photo calls even with other people in with them Zac leans towards Vanessa or like at the Laker’s game when Zac was leaning talking to the women in red he still kept his arm around Vanessa and she leaned into him while he was talking. Like Kenny has said there was just a ’spark’ between them as soon as they started acting together and it’s just got stronger over time.
But as I have also said I am not daft enough to think they’ve not had rows or even fallen out since they got together that would’nt be realistic,but I see a couple who have found something special in each other that they have and contiune to work hard at to keep special, have a understanding that in their line of work it will involve seperation but they keep the communication going, keep grounded with their families, make time for each other but also give each other space, the list is endless, but the main thing being they have something that they know works and is scared to them, and Zac does’nt look at any other girls the way that he looks at Vanessa even on the red carpet you can tell he feels like he’s completed when Vanessa is with him then when he’s on his own. With other co-stars it’s just him doing his job and promoting is part of it but with Vanessa his whole body langauage and even his face changes when she is their. Sometimes and this might just be me but he gets a look like he wishes that the cameras would just go away and he and Vanessa could just go off somewhere, hence why I think sometimes he looks a bit down nopthing to do with being unhappy with Vanessa but the surroundings and who is in their faces at the time.
Well that’s my opinion and I can’t wait for the Japan photo’s and to see both Zac and Vanessa in their other films later this year. And if they are going to Kaycees wedding I hope they have a good time and that Kaycee and her soon to be husband have a great day and a very long and happy marriage.
