Hairspray 2: White Lipstick — Official Movie Title!
Hairspray director Adam Shankman spilled the beans about the sequel to New Line’s blockbuster movie-musical and just how Zac Efron and Brittany Snow fit into the big picture.
Hairspray 2: White Lipstick is the sequel’s official movie title, which was actually the original title for 1998’s Hairspray. Shankman dished to MTV on more of teen idol Zac, 21, and less of Brittany, 22. Here’s what he had to say:
On Link Larkin getting hooked on acid: “I think that’s probably part of the treatment that won’t get used. And in the treatment, [Efron’s drug use] is an accident. That’s the kind of stuff where you’re like: ‘Yeah, I don’t know if that’s going to work.’”
On who will take the place of the Von Tussles, the villians of the movie: “There’ll be a change in villains. [John Waters’ treatment] is ideas that we’re just going to pick and choose from, and we’ll see what happens with it. Probably [no Michelle Pfeiffer]. Not because we didn’t love her, but because we just thought different adversaries [would be necessary].”
On the Vietnam War backdrop: “No, it wasn’t Zac.”

Agree with you 100% Zac was all over Nikki when promoting HS, forever touching her and as you say holding hands while his gf that he supposedly cares so much about was back home dealing with her photo thing. What a kick in the teeth that must have been for Vanessa having to hear about Zac being like that with Nikki and then the hideious kiss on tv that NOBODY forced Zac to do, neither of them Zac or Nikki showed any respect or concern for Vanessa’s feelings.
Oh jeez….the Zac/Nikki thing was all for publicity to promote HS in ‘07. Why is it that some people just don’t get that. *rolls eyes*

Of course you agree with #100. It would really be hard to disagree with yourself. Maybe if you try hard and if you can come up with enough usernames you can have your own fan club and support system.
WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!,,,,,BRITTANY needs to be in it…….I’d watch it,,only if Briitany is one of the cast..I love the 1st one,,but if they will choose only the characters that will come back,,,I WON”T WATCH IT..!!!!arrggghh!!,,,they must use the original characters…if they want to do a sequel!!!
if BRITTANY won’t be in that sequel,,,Hairspray’s reception won’t be as good as the 1st one……….BRITTANY’s character is very sweet,,even though she’s the villain….!!=)

Beleive me I don’t post any other name apart from the one I have been using since day what would be the point in that. Like you I am entitled to my opinion and just don’t see the fasinaction with Zac he’s not georgous looking and neither am I by the way but I’m happy with the way I look.
Zac like anybody else has faults and is not this picture perfect guy who everyone well nearly everyone treats like some god and that nobody is aloud to say a bad word against him I would love to know why the hell not everybody is entitled to their opinion about things. And I say my point with swearing and shouting abuse at people. I’m sorry but he comes across as being very cold towards Vanessa unless he’s getting paid to make it look like their a couple at events and shows next to no affection in public as I have said before how would holding your gf hands take anything away from your professional side, it would’nt that’s just a excuse.

It would seem that you get pounded because some of your opinions are way out there somewhere. You appear to have a grudge against him only because he does not perform as you think he should. Why is holding someone’s hand so essential in showing affection towards someone? What about the Caribbean, the Hawaiian, and Lakers pictures? Why are they not enough to prove his feelings for this girl? Or is it that you just want him glued to her in some intimate way every time you see a picture of them together? If you have a gf/bf are you hanging on them every second? You may have a right to your opinion but everyone else has a right to explain why they think you are being ridiculous. You seem to have a need to make him look bad which makes you look petty with a lot of resentment towards him for some reason. Nobody has said he was perfect. Yes, 13 year olds may make it out to sound like he is a god but adults have never once made him out to be perfect. And believe me you can’t change the idol worship of a 12-13 year old. This young man is 21 years old and started dating this girl when he was only 17 so no, he isn’t perfect as nobody is but a lot of us who have had DECADES of experience with relationships and marriage can say he does very well with this relationship.

1. It’s going to be crap if you get rid of Michelle Pfeiffer AND John Travolta. You need to keep one and personally I rekon Michelle Pfeiffer.
2. You need Brittany Snow.
3. People need to understand that it’s a movie so they can get over they’re little fits about Vanessa getting jealous.
4. Don’t wreck the 1st one. If you’re gonna do a 2nd one make it good. + HAVE MICHELLE PFEIFFER!

i think zac and nikki look great together, they do have chemistry and its natural….and i know that they won’t be a ZIKKI…or anyything but they do have chemistry. Nikki is beautiful and she is an iconic star for musicals…vanessa is only good for high school musical…NTYS: THINK ABOUT BANDSLAM….IS IT GOING TO BE A HIT? NO, IT IS NOT.

Ok All of you people who keep saying “Ugh Zac and Nikki look so bad together” Have NO friggin clue what the movie was about or how it was supposed to affect people. The whole point is that in the end looks dont matter as much as how you feel about someone. And Nikki blonsky is pretty, all of you 15 year old skinny mini’s who are Zac obsessed automatically think cause she’s big that she’s ugly. Shes not and you all need to get over yourselves
I think you should play in the movie hairspray because you do really good in musicals.
