Taylor Lautner To Keep Jacob Black Role?
Hottie Taylor Lautner just might keep the role of Jacob Black for Twilight’s sequel, New Moon.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the 16-year-old martial arts expert and actor may have a hold on the popular werewolf character.
Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg dished to the mag about the role: “Jacob is a totally different character in New Moon. He’s a foot taller and huge – and he’s supposed to look 25. It’s really a question of whether or not the same actor can play the role.” She also adds, “Everyone would love to keep him [Lautner]. We all think he’s the loveliest person ever.”
Summit Entertainment is expected to make an announcement sometime this week on whether or not Taylor gets to keep playing the werewolf in New Moon. Actor Michael Copon is the top runner in taking over the role.

They should keep Taylor as Jacob. That’s what all the fans want and aren’t they just considering changing him for the fans preferences of Jacob?
So basically, they don’t need to change the actor for Jacob. We love Taylor playing him and there’s nothing more to it.

i hope they keep taylor , he did an excellent job as jacob black , i don’t care if he doesn’t look exaclty like jacob should be in new moon , as long as he stays in the role. Seriously i find micheal capon( or whatever his name is) is too conceited for my liking!

I’m glad they decided to keep Taylor on! He seems really committed to the part and it will be good to see how he plays the older jacob! I thought he did great as a younger version!
i know some people disagree b/c they love the jacob/bella story- but as a die-hard Team Edward member, I don’t really need to have the connection with the guy who plays Jacob like I do to say… um.. Robert Pattinson!?

how can anyone say he did such a great job in the movie?!?! he had all of two lines in the entire thing!!! people are going to regret wanting him to stay when new moon comes along and he looks and acts nothing like jacob black…
I will not be able to watch New Moon ,if they don’t have Taylor Lautner play Jacob Black. He was amazing in “Twilight”. I know he will be brilliant for “New Moon”.
