Vanessa Hudgens: ‘New Moon’ Rumor Control
Vanessa Hudgens has NOT auditioned for New Moon, her rep tells JustJaredJr.com.
The 20-year-old singer/actress reportedly auditioned for the Twilight sequel for the role of werewolf Leah Clearwater.
“I don’t know anything about the audition,” Vanessa’s rep tells JJJ. “As far as I know, it’s just a rumor.”
Seems that Ashley Greene’s comment about Vanessa was taken way out of context because SpoilerTV is reporting that the character of Leah isn’t even being cast for!
UPDATE: New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg confirms this report, saying, “If Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em.”

she is just too much for leah.(i personally think)
thank god its jut a rumor! i mean, she’s not even fit for the role… leah clearwater is one tough charaacter and i dont personallt think that vanesa can handle that.. she looks too sweet to be a werewolf…….

Twilight series movies are NOT as High School Musical or similars, and Vanessa Hudgens CAN’T be Leah Clearwater. Leah is a strong character with lots of deep sad feelings, I don’t wanna see a fairy girl that goes around smiling and singing, NO! She just can be an “actress” for Disney’s silly movies like Miley Cyrus or Zac Efron, UGH!
There’s still hope for Vanessa fans…Maybe they’re just pretending beacuse they don’t wanna disappoint Vanessa fans if she doesn’t get the role

To me she’d be perfect as Leah. I understand how many people DON’T want her in the movie but they all protested on Rob not getting the part as Edward and look at them now. They have his poster on their freakin walls! Fans are such hypocrites.
-sigh- i hope she auditions. I actually hope she gets the part. That’d be great for her career.
