Vanessa Hudgens: ‘New Moon’ Rumor Control
Vanessa Hudgens has NOT auditioned for New Moon, her rep tells JustJaredJr.com.
The 20-year-old singer/actress reportedly auditioned for the Twilight sequel for the role of werewolf Leah Clearwater.
“I don’t know anything about the audition,” Vanessa’s rep tells JJJ. “As far as I know, it’s just a rumor.”
Seems that Ashley Greene’s comment about Vanessa was taken way out of context because SpoilerTV is reporting that the character of Leah isn’t even being cast for!
UPDATE: New Moon screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg confirms this report, saying, “If Vanessa is auditioning for the role of Leah, she’s written her own pages to read, ’cause I didn’t write ‘em.”

Morgan don’t try and act like Twilight is actually some master piece. In the real world it is nothing but trash and the batshit fans are laughed at. Talent & Twilight should not even be put in the same sentence. Your brain seems to be size of pea so not a surprise you would think anything but.

Hello Shia Labeouf (sp?) I don’t see him in childish movies. Well, funny ones, but they are always good.
Disney is a good place for stars to start, and they want more complex roles, therefore they get parts like Leah to expand into that area.
I think Vanessa would be wonderful.

It would suck even if she just had a background role. I don’t like her as an actress, singer or person. Sorry. But I think that New Moon (or anything else) need a Disney star.. They just go around with the fake smiles and saying “I’m a star. People - who arent in my family - knows my name. You can google me” They’re just so fake. Ugh. There arent words for how happy I am now. It would ruin the way some fans look at the book. It would ruin the way I look upon New Moon. I really, really, dont want HER to be in the movie.

Are you actually sitting there saying Twilight (which has many more respected actors and actresses than any HSM put together) is laughed at but yet you say nothing about HSM being laughed at? Okay. Lmao. Point 1 for me. And I never said anything about Twilight being a masterpiece, you nitwit. If you understood what you read, you’d see that I was commenting on my dislike of Vanessa being in the movie. That does not translate into it being a masterpiece.

Yea i think she should of auditioned for Twilight New Moon if wuld have been realy good for her even tho im sorry the part wuldnt suit her and she cant act it wuld probably b gud for her career- but not for me id be jealous! Taylor and Edward are pretty hot guys atm! Lol- i think theres gonna b a Leah Clearwater in the 3rd or 4th movie (if they get that far- hopefull they will its a great movie!)

Vanessa Hudgens is a soft spoken girl. She is very well fitted in sweet romatic teen films. But in Twilight, I can’t imagine it….Maybe because I have never seen her in that kind of movie. If she is really the chosen Leah Clearwater then just wait and see her acting..If turns out to be good, that is amazing for her. But if not…..maybe other vampire movies which will be much more fitted to her.
