Nolan Gerard Funk rocked out during Bauer Teen Group’s In Tune event held at NYC’s Hard Rock Cafe on Monday night and dished to JustJaredJr.com about his upcoming Nick movie-musical, Spectacular! (out February 16).

On one of his nicknames: “My little goddaughter has an accent, so she calls me ‘Nulan’.”

On his music tastes: “I’m all across the board. I love Kings of Leon. Disturbia by Rihanna. Everyone from The Smiths and Stevie Wonder to Ray Charles.”

On if he plays any instruments: “No, I don’t. I will attempt to play guitar but I’m not good at it. I would still create my own music, though. I have melodies that come into my head. I’m just not one of those people who can sing and play the piano at the same time… yet.”

On one of his favorite actors: “I find Kristin Chenoweth to be a really terrific performer. She’s very cartoony and animated.”

On his closest friends from the set of Spectacular!: “All of the cast got along really great but I definitely spent a lot of time hanging out with Tammin [Sursok] since we had so many scenes together. And I love Victoria [Justice]. I think she’s got such a great sense of humor and really cool for her age.”
