Raven Symone: I Think I’m Beautiful!
Former That’s So Raven star Raven Symone says that whenever she needs a self-esteem boost, she goes right back to the person who’s always been there — her mom.
The 23-year-old actress dished to People about handling the criticism on her weight. Here’s what she had to say:
On her biggest fan: “She’ll [my mom] call me and say, ‘You’re very pretty.’ I’m like, ‘Thanks, Mommy!’ and that’s my confidence for the day.”
On the body critics: “People come up to me and have certain words for me, but you know what I do? I say, ‘I’m healthy, I exercise, I believe in myself, and I think I’m beautiful’.”
On how she ignores the haters: “You just have to learn how to transform the pressures into something that doesn’t soak into you on a personal level. You see it, you breathe past it, you don’t let it sink into your self-esteem.”
Later today, Raven is helping out at a Dove-sponsored self-esteem workshop hoping to boost girl’s self confidence in themselves in Cape May, N.J.

Yea cuz nikki blonsky got arrested an i think nikki is too fat- raven started off skinny, then curvy, then fat in the second cheetah girls movie i think shes at a good size now in college road trip

i think it pretty trif people are so judmental about bigger girls. like not everyone is skinny people have diffrent jeans in there family. nikki is heavy but i mean she it gettin more money than any of yall. it not kool to say she fat cuz i belive she juss overweight fat is tha 1/2 ton people on tlc who cant get outaa tha bed them seleves… think about it..

but losing 20 lbs would be heart-healthy and add years to her life.
some people are just naturally bigger. she said she’s healthy and thats just her body shape. plus she’s not really big. she has curves and reflects what most women in america look like. i’m tall and skinny and i look up to her and thinks she’s beautiful.

she was a normal healthy size in the first few seasons of thats so raven then she started to get heavy
i also agree with #16 she should lose at least 20 pounds
You know, as much as I love for someone to be confident in themselves, when you are overweight it isn’t healthy. Period. I was over weight and went a low fat diet and stopped eating fried foods, and the pounds flew off. Raven is just being lazy because she doesn;t want to lose weight. Queen Latifah said the same thing and she is now a spokeswoman for Jenny. Raven, please for YOUR HEALTH lose weight. IF you exercise and eat right and you are just heavily built then that is one thing, but I bet her Doctor would tell her different.

Well didnt she think wrong.
She is very healthy, she is just naturally like this. She eats right and she does excercise but some people go through this, they are naturally curvy and on, Raven is amazing she is an amazing young role model to millions of kids I look up to her and she makes me a better person. I LOVE BRENDA SONG AND RAVEN SYMONE
