Taylor Lautner is Jacob Black Buff
Taylor Lautner doesn’t look the least bit tired after returning home after his daily workout in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (January 21).
The 16-year-old actor has been beefing up for his role as Jacob Black in New Moon, set to start filming in March. Co-star Kristen Stewart dished to MTV that she’s happy Taylor is the only Jacob Black. She shared, “I’m so glad they didn’t have to find somebody else; we already had him! I didn’t understand all the deliberation on [whether to bring him back]. But now that it’s set, we can all rest. He’s really buff! He definitely is. It took him a lot of time.”
In New Moon casting news, Dakota Fanning has reportedly been offered the role of Jane.

In “New Moon” Jacob does continue to grow in height and adds mature muscles but he does not ‘age’. As long as a Quiliute protector phases he does not get older. He matures but he does not age. There is a difference. Any actor could play the role if he appears taller and filled out but Taylor captures the essence of Jacob, his warmth, his confidence and his acceptance of Bella, I loved Rob and Kristen but Taylor was Jacob, he did the best job and I am very pleased we will see him soon. Oh, and he can date whoever he wants as long as he keeps his focus on his career.
