Miley Cyrus Apologizes for ‘Goofy’ Pictures
Miley Cyrus hung out with her friends recently and took a picture that some people find to be offensive. Still in Nashville, the 16-year-old Disney starlet responded by posting this entry on MileyWorld:
“I can’t believe all of the silly STUFF that has been put out in the press this week! It really makes me sad that people want to tear other people down just for the sake of magazine sells and hits on websites! Unfortunately, it seems like BAD is what sells!
“I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context! In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would of been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new ‘BAD GIRL’! I feel like now that Britney [Spears] is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me! Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what is on my heart. You guys know me and have been by my side every step of the way!
“You guys know my heart and know the most important things to me are my friends, family, fans, and GOD! In NO WAY do I want to disappoint any of you! But, when I have made mistakes in the past, I feel like I’ve owned up to them and apologized. Anyway, I really wish everyone would stop focusing on my personal life and get back to focusing on what I love! Music and Acting! Hopefully, I will be touring again this fall! interesting thing to note: nearly half the people who are complaining about this picture are using strongly sexist language in their posts. bravo, american double standards. you’ve screwed over yet another generation in which a female who is not submissive is a two-to-five letter word.
A sixteen year old girl affended the OCA with that picture is that all it takes my god what are they going to do when they meet a real racist.

This is what gets me, Miley can screw up, apologize and gets away with it and everyone feels sorry for her and moves on. Michael Phelps screws up with dope, apologize and gets away with it, oh well he will skip the 2012 olympics as a reprimand but gets a way with it, Kristen from Twilight gets caught smoking pot while driving and and gets away with it. How come as a teen doing foolish things Vanessa screws up she apologizes and people just won’t let up on this girl, is it because of her ethnic? to me what is good for one is good for all, it seems that Vanessa has to always work hard to prove herself while those noted above just fly by, just can’t seem to figure America out..
