Miley Cyrus Apologizes for ‘Goofy’ Pictures
Miley Cyrus hung out with her friends recently and took a picture that some people find to be offensive. Still in Nashville, the 16-year-old Disney starlet responded by posting this entry on MileyWorld:
“I can’t believe all of the silly STUFF that has been put out in the press this week! It really makes me sad that people want to tear other people down just for the sake of magazine sells and hits on websites! Unfortunately, it seems like BAD is what sells!
“I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context! In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would of been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new ‘BAD GIRL’! I feel like now that Britney [Spears] is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me! Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what is on my heart. You guys know me and have been by my side every step of the way!
“You guys know my heart and know the most important things to me are my friends, family, fans, and GOD! In NO WAY do I want to disappoint any of you! But, when I have made mistakes in the past, I feel like I’ve owned up to them and apologized. My god are kids getting dumber by day? You guys seriously contradict yourselves. Only about five comments out of seventy actually make sense. This is sad middle school children can’t spell correctly. I am seventeen years old and the only reason I come on here is because of miley. And reading the comments people leave are embarrassing you are lucky you don’t have to include a picture in order to comment. Gosh Jonas fans are even worse.

I am one fan French and I can say to you that almost no fan French is offended with this photograph. I’m Chinese but I don’t really find it offensive (OK, so I’m used to it but whatever). On the one hand, I watch her on TV so it can be perceived as a little rude but she’s my age, and a lot of people are like that so she probably didn’t mean it. When I first read about the news, I did kind of wonder whether people like Brenda Song would be unhappy but Miley’s made an attempt at an apology now so people should let it go. She’s allowed to make mistakes. She’s a teen.
Okay, what miley did is not that offensive to some but then it might be offensive to other races….as i remember back in olympics the spain basketball team made apology to the chinese ppl by taking a photo like what miley did…even paul gasol made apology for it…people from eyes of public should careful to what they do cause alot of them watch all over the world…

Everyone should read carefully her ‘apology’. She is apologising b/c ppl feel offended…. not apologising for her actions. I am disappointed in the starlet and had spoken to my own daughter about this. She is a fan of Miley and I hope she sees what kind of person she is, and not just see the performer in her. It’s very sad. Miley has the power to affect the world in a positive way. She was insensitive in her actions. If she feels she wasn’t being offensive to Asians, then she needs a reality check.

What the heck the pictures aren’t even that bad! People take the little things she does and makes them into a BIG deal and then throw it at her and say ‘Catch’ they ruin her life maybe people should stay out of her personal life! I don’t give a crap what she does wrong cause when everyone walks out on her I’ll be the one sitting down and when she starts to fall again will do my best to catch her. Everyone makes mistakes and you people need to understand that I haven’t taken a picture makin’ fun of anyone not on purpose just like Miley.
