Selena Gomez channels her inner rock star as she poses for UK’s OK! magazine.
The 16-year-old Wizards starlet, who is currently on location in Puerto Rico filming the Wizards movie, dished to the mag about acting, “Disney High” and one of her fave clothing designers. Check it:
On sticking to acting: “I haven’t been asked and would be too nervous to model. I’d be terrified. I mean, I’m not a model, I’m an actress. I’ll leave the modeling to Heidi Klum.”
On shopping buddy BFF Demi Lovato: “My fashion partner would be my best friend Demi Lovato — she’s the best when it comes to bargain and designer shopping. She’s good at helping me pick out a bargain and good at spending my money!”
On her rumored “feud” with Miley Cyrus: “We call all of that ‘Disney High’ because it’s basically like being in high school, but times a thousand. You know you have to handle it as you would in a normal school and I do that by surrounding myself with positive things and people who really care about me. We just laugh about it.”
On designer Matthew Williamson: “I was given a look-book of his work and I fell in love with every single piece. I wore one of his dresses to the Children’s BAFTAs — my mom was worried it was going to be too short, but it fit perfectly.”

#50, I think you guys don’t like her because she hasn’t really shown her personal side yet. I mean all of us so far just know her as a sarcastic and sazzy wizard (Alex Russo). When her album releases, we’ll get to see a different side of her, the real her. maybe you’ll like her then. These pics so far already show an edgier (sexier) Selena.

Wow, she is absolutely gorgeous. She has that classic beauty that I just adore. I honestly wish her nothing but the best–and I believe she has the potential to have a very long career. Might I add, I love that she is building her career on her own–she doesn’t have someone else to prop her up. I know people say she got publicity for dating Nick–which is true, but that only went so far. Honestly I had no idea she was even linked to Nick until I read some teenie gossip site. And still I could care less about any of the Jonas Brothers. She has a very successful show & ACS which went to #1 [in DVD sales & ratings when it premiered on TV] And she has her own production company, which is pretty amazing. I love Disney, but I’ll be glad when she leaves it. She has so much talent and the shows on Disney don’t exactly have quality writing. I feel like Selena is slept on because she came after Miley and Demi has the constant promotion from the JB. But I definitely think she’ll get her time to really shine.

the thing with your “facts” is that they arent facts. to say that miley hasnt done anything to make her famous was just really stupid. yes, mileys pictures did make her more famous, but if you think thats all there is to it, you are mistaken. do people watch hannah montana because of those pictures? did people go to her sold out tour because of those pictures? do people buy her albums to make them multiplatinum because of those pictures?
your second “fact” is confusing because when has miley ever said “i deserve this and that”? if you are trying to show how demi and selena should have more power at disney because theyve been there longer, then how about miley who is basically disneys cash cow now, and for the past couple years? i remember reading this business article on how miley/hannah montana basically saved disney which didnt have anything big going on after lizzie mcguire. and the whole “miley has no skills” part is your opinion, but seeing how popular miley is with “no skills” and how far shes gotten in showbiz, im sure shes quite happy with having no skills.
#52, I agree. Selena is the most talented and the hardest working Disney Channel star. Miley actually worked hard to get where she is too. Her dad was nowhere near as famous as her so he couldn’t have been the reason. But she did get a bigger boost from Disney than Selena. Which makes me REALLY mad. but, as a slap in the face to Disney, Selena made it. In my opinion, she is the third most famous person on Disney Channel, Jonas Bros being 2nd. Her show is doing extremely well now. I think they are going to release merchandise based on the show later this year too. FINALLY! And her album wil give her the chance to perform at concerts and be even more recognized. Overall, this summer should be an interesting one for Selena. I hope she gets the extreme fame she deserves.
As for Demi, she is a good singer, but she would be NOWHERE without the Jonas Brothers. In fact, Selena was the one who introduced her to Disney. That is why I think she is the least hard-working Disney girl. Plus, Camp Rock and her show is terrible. Disney is should concentrate on Selena’s acting carreer instead of making Demi an actress. She was definitely made for singing, not acting.

She’s very pretty, but I think she could have gone with a lot LESS make-up in the second picture. From the neck up she looks like one of those trashy ghetto girls. I like the other photos, though. They have a more natural look. And does anyone think she looks so much like her mother in the last picture? I mean, they’ve always looked alike, but the resemblance is uncanny there.

First dont talk about miley like you know her!! second miley stolen pictures from her personal album came out after the tour and her famous show hannah montana ok! before that she had a sold out tour so your point is pointless! beside any smart person know miley is an even role model know than before because she has learn a valuable lesson and has taught it to kids is to never ever give up when people like YOU keep bullying her by something that was done to her and judge her base on those pictures when that has nothing to do with her ethics of work or her personal believes! miley yes took photos but those photos did not showed anything for her to be called names for god sake grow up! girls at the mall and at the beach even at the red carpet premier showed more than what she showed on the pictures! i hope that you haters get a person like yourself that keep on remind you of embarrasing thing all the time to see how you like it!! and they keep on judging you and making fun of you all the time the way you haters are doing to her!
