‘High School Musical 4′ is a Go!
Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad and Taylor may have graduated and left East High behind, but High School Musical is far from over.
Disney announced today that High School Musical 4 will bring the franchise back to television in a music and dance-filled movie that will introduce a new cast of characters. The new Wildcats — Jemma McKenzie Brown, Justin Martin and Matt Prokop — introduced in the big screen High School Musical 3 are all set to return to East High’s halls.
In High School Musical 4, East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights.

THEY HAVE TO LEARN THAT A MOVIE HAVE TO GET OVER SOMEDAY! WITHOUT THE OLD CAST HSM 4 IS GOING TO BE A SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
HSM 3 HAVE TO BE THE LAST ONE! IT WAS PERFECT TO BE THE LAST ONE BUT NOOOO…. DISNEY IS TOO SELFISH AND STUPID TO ADMIT THAT THE MOVIE FINISHED. END OF STORY.

this movie will SUCK! dont get me wrong, i love hsm 1 and zanessa, but they are taking this too far. no one really likes the new ones and there would never be hsm 1 without troyella in the first place. i wont watch it
Oh and ZAC and Vanessa will definitely not come back, maybe a cameo but they are moving on with their careers. They don’t want disney breathing behind their backs anymore! They are much more comfortable with their relationship since they got out of promoting the movie
i’ll watch it, but afterwards i’ll puke.
they should stop…it really isnt going to be HSM anymore without the original cast

the last movie was the ending. it made everything seem more reliastic and fierce..and not to mention, was very depressing , letting everyone go.
but now this? junior HSM?
i really want to support the new characters, i really do, but no way, can they replace the 6′ former casts.
AND i was really hoping for a college musical..where 6 of the casts, are competioned against each other..at different places..or something ..
but i guess not -.-

OK, this is the truth:
jemma- i’m sorry. she can’t sing, but her acting is OK. And it was entertaining to see, sharpay kick her butt during the finale’ performance xD
matt and the other dude- were def funny, with corbin and zac.. but as themselves.. who knows =/
SINCE it’s HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL = meaning, these new casts are part of the new gang now, since everyone is off to college.
I guess, the 6 casts are all grown up and wanna move on with their careers…
but i hope they ATLEAST do a reunion or something..
cuz, it’s never gonna be the same, with what they created, with new people taking their places.
NO ONE can change that

Why would Disney be so darn greedy and try to market on what has been good to them and done with, why ruin the hand that fed you? That’s the problem with today’s society they just don’t know when to quit while the going was great!!!! The only returning one is Ashley and honestly, it’s just not worth seeing again, HSM2 was a flop due to her I can just see the next 3 installments FLOP! FLOP! FLOP! Disney should let it rest and move on to another chapter.
Probably, but think of it you guys. When you first saw High School Musical. You didn’t know who they were. Give these people a chance and not that Nickelodeon franchise “Spectacular” Give in.

I agree with #61. Honestly, I never really liked Disney in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, the classics were great, but besides that, I’ve always disliked Disney. High School Musical was great, and it insipired me to do so many things (It sounds really corny, I know, but it’s the truth), but they really should not make a fourth movie. Like #61 said, it’ll ruin the memory that the original cast created. I mean, really, at the end of HSM3: Senior Year, there was a FINAL curtain. I agree with most of the comments on here. Disney just doesn’t know when to stop; Disney is greedy. And they absolutely cannot recreate the genuine chemistry the original six possessed. After the fourth movie has become a failure, I’m crossing my fingers that Disney has learned their lesson. I’m trying as best as I can to see the bright side of this horrifying news, but there simply is no bright side. But then again, they never do. I know I’m being very harsh and biased right now, but people are entitled to their own opinions. I’m ranting, so I’ll shut up now. (x
i will watch the movie, but it will not be definetely the same if zc efron is not in it.
I’ll probebly watch it but it won’t be the same without the 6 of them. HSM3 had a great end! I don’t realy like those new people. They don’t sing very good! But I’ll still watch it.
Yeahh sure ill watch it, but i dont think ill enjoy it. HSM wont be HSM without the original cast. Disney are really wasting their time here.
Anyway, I thought Ashley would have to come back because shes helping run the drama department. But im guessing they will change the storyline again to fit it. Anyway the storyline sounds intresting but its basicly starting a new story from old resorces if you get what i mean. Its Ashley, Vanessa, Zac, Corbin and the rest of the cast that make it high school musical. I think disney are just trying to make more money here. As much as i love HSM its done and finished. This is really not going to work.
If this is going to theartres, then im not paying. Ill borrow a friends DVD and watch it.

I am one of HSM’s biggest fans… but i dont want a 4th movie… the ending to the third one was perfect… this movie is going to change HSM. I didnt love the new characters in the 3rd one and these new guys are going to take over what our favorite charcters left behind.
Some one should start a petition against Disney doing this to show just how unhappy fans are that they are doing a 4th one.
I’m in agreement with most people that they are pushing this too far and are ruining what was a perfect way to round off this whole thing.

Looks like the original cast got out when it was right to do so…by the sounds of it Disney want to bleed HSM dry..
I agree that the cast was so good together, the 3 that were in the last movie really didnt make a whole lot of sense unless you take into account they left people there doing the same stuff and so on and so on.
They didnt make an impression with me and by the looks of it you guys either.

If they are hoping for the same success as the last 3 they are going to be onto a big loser of a chain and I feel sorry for the guys that have left because their legacy is going to be ripped to shreds by Disney.
Anyway, I cant see me watching it unless its for morbid curiosity!!
Nooo!!! I didn’t like any of the new people in the 3rd one. Way too annoying.
