HSM4: No Matt Prokop!
Sources tell JustJaredJr.com that Matt Prokop will not be involved in High School Musical 4.
The 18-year-old actor posted a MySpace bulletin earlier today, saying, “Not only will HSM4 not feature your loved wildcats: Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and Taylor, but I will also not be apart of it. Disney decided to go with a completely different story line. I’m so thankful to be apart of HSM3 before they decided to change everything. Enjoy the new characters……. whoever they will be. Matt.”
True or not, JJJ can reveal that Disney will start casting HSM4 in late summer 2009.
WHAT DO YOU THINK about Disney taking a new direction for HSM4?

i even didn’t watched HSM 3 actually i’m not a fan at all, it’s just that EVERYBODY knows HSM and zac is cute… lol^^

It’s a different cast, director and story. Why don’t they just change the name of the movie or start a new series. That would be the smart thing to do.
Hsm ended with the first three. It was what it was and now it’s done. No need to drag it down with this crap. Disney is not going to get much out of this, they are literally ruining their own franchise. But Disney isn’t one to understand what overkill means.
Poor kid but I think this is better for him in the long run, hsm4 is not going to be well received.

I honestly think making another High School Musical -not only without the original cast that made it such a huge franchise -but making it a totally different story line is in my opinion, ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS. Isn’t that why HSM3 supposed to be so huge anyways? Because it was supposed to be the last one, the BIG one the one that got into theaters? I don’t know, I think Disney will lose a lot of fans and a lot of money once they come out with the fourth one.
it’s so stupid trying to use something to make more money. i mean, make a new great movie, disney, but “forget” about HSM. first, i don’t want the main cast forever as hsm characters, i wanna see them in other stuff (and there’s the little problem called GRADUATION. there’s no HIGH SCHOOL musical after you graduate from high school). second, there’s no HSM without them, disney would ruin something good, something that marked our lives, doing another movie just because they want more money. and that’s disrespect to the fans.

Four’s definitely too much. I, for one, won’t be watching; especially now without Matt… considering that would eliminate Tiara and Donny.

That is a real shame. I have no intention of watching HSM4 since original people who made that franchise a winner is now gone and since they are gone if they want to proceed to make a movie about this—and it’s just that Disney thinks it can make money from it—they should change the name somewhat I’m afraid it shows how Disney has underestimated those 10 people who meshed so well on screen and made a little story about high school kids who could sing and dance come to life. Each and everyone of those 10 characters were special.
I intensely disliked the Tiara character and she is the one I would have thought would be written out of future movies if they were going to be made. The character of Donny was neither here nor there—he was OK but was not given much to work with as his character was never meant to be there in the first place. So, it wasn’t his fault. Frankly, Matt grated on my nerves some but he most certainly showed he had comedic timing just like Ashley Tisdale did and he was the only one of the new cast members who I thought showed any promise for another movie. I wouldn’t see him as a leading man but he did have some outstanding moments in the movie that was worth watching.
You know what?! i desdised im happy for Matt that he isnt goign to be in #4. i mean, its really a shocker that he isnt…but u no what ? Good for him. he doesnt have to be part of this stupidness disney calls a movie.

I am NOT watching HSM4 if Matt is not in it! I mean, what was the point of having the sophomores AT ALL if you weren’t gunna use them!! They could’ve done more work with existing characters like Martha or Zeke!

Since I saw him in hsm3 never though a 4th movie with him leading would be good, I hope Disney cast great actors, maybe someone we know like Demi, Selena, maybe Matt could be a supporting actor…but not a leading hole for him neither Jemma and the other guy

matt talks liek HE was the main guy in HSM he basically had like 2 lines in the last movieee i think hes ugly so im GLAD hes not coming back!!! the new HSM will be phenomenal! just like the first one! i believe that it will be great and break records! so all the haters including matt prokop or whoever he is, need to SHUT UP!
