HSM4: No Matt Prokop!
Sources tell JustJaredJr.com that Matt Prokop will not be involved in High School Musical 4.
The 18-year-old actor posted a MySpace bulletin earlier today, saying, “Not only will HSM4 not feature your loved wildcats: Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, and Taylor, but I will also not be apart of it. Disney decided to go with a completely different story line. I’m so thankful to be apart of HSM3 before they decided to change everything. Enjoy the new characters……. whoever they will be. Matt.”
True or not, JJJ can reveal that Disney will start casting HSM4 in late summer 2009.
WHAT DO YOU THINK about Disney taking a new direction for HSM4?

ok, disney seriously needs to think and NOT do HSM4 it will just ruin everything with out zac, vanessa, ashley, momo, lucas and corbin it will be terrible!
There was a letter of application for HSM4 in a german magazine. You could send it to disney if you want to be a part of it..
I used to really like HSM but since it is in the theaters now and the whole cast changed it kinda sucks and I wouldnt have watched it anyways xD

Disney are stupid. A HSM4 without Zac & Vanessa is pointless and it was their chemistry that made HSM. Even another film without the other wildcats is stupid, and Matt was good in HSM3 so I thought he’d be in it. But I wouldnt watch HSM anymore since its done now and it was a good ending with Zac & Vanessa and the wildcats. Disney should just stop while they are ahead.
Zac,Vanessa and the other cast members from HSM are together for about 3 years,so i don’t know if the 4th HSM would be as great as the last ones have been.We don’t know which actors Disney will choose,but i think NONE will replace the old Wildcats,we’re all gonna miss them.But whoever the new actors will be,I just wish them Good Luck.
the thing is matt was the only thing that made me want to watch hsm4 an insey bit, but now with no troy, gabriella, sharpay etc plus him i really really think its a bad idea now.
i wish zanessa/troyella will come back but they obviosuly aren’t and neither is matt/ rocketman (hehe

Kinda agree with #28. I will probably watch HSM4 at some point, but I won’t be planning a sleepover for my daughter and her friends on premiere night like we did for HSM 2 & 3.
I REALLY believe that Disney should hold out a few years, and then attempt to bring the original cast back for a “High School Reunion” and feature a wedding or two and catch us up on their college years, etc.
I love Zanessa and adore the other actors/characters who’ve put their hearts and souls into this phenomena. I wish Disney the best, but hope they don’t get burned by pushing this one too far too fast.

Honestly, I loved High School Musical and I still do. Yes, if they released another one, I would still watch it but it doesn’t mean I will enjoy it as much. The movie is NOTHING without the originals. Disney are just being greedy by making another one to make more money. I hope the 4th one isn’t made.
what was the point of introducing his character in hsm3 if they weren’t going to use him in hsm4? now i wish that they hadn’t introduced the new characters in hsm3…it would have given more screen time to the original 6 and changed the storyline somewhat.

Tbqh I Think they should of just left it at hsm 3 it has to end sometime and i don’t think they are guna do very well with hsm4 taking none of the original charecters are in it whats the point. It is probs best to leave it there and be done with it instead of trying to move it around so hsm doesn’t upset these kids inoo it sounds mean but how many more hsm can you expect in the next 20 years are they trying to do a harry potter no affence but it is time to leave it behind and start on something new. and believe me i love hsm more than anyone xx

Thy have the HSM trilogy and making a fourth will just ruin it.
And I thought the point of including the three new chacracters in the 3rd film was so that they could carry on the hsm franchise, and now they’re not even going to include them?! Well Matt at least.
HSM3 ended on a great note, and them all saying goodbye was a perfect way to finish, but sad all the same!

it wont be that same without all the main characters and if they make a new one with totally new people thn its not really high schhol musical is it coz like not many original characters would be in it so it will be kinda rubbish i guess
