Corbin Bleu reacts to seeing an image of his 7-year-old self on popular hospital drama ER from years ago as he appears on the PIX Morning Show on Thursday morning (March 12).

The 20-year-old “Close” crooner dished on performing for the Obamas, New York and his new album, Speed of Light. Check it:

On his home turf, Brooklyn: “It’s good to be back here and smell the New York air. Last night, I went to see In The Heights, I love live theatre. This is my home. I grew up here and I just love the people out here; so real, so down to earth.”

On performing at the Kids’ Inaugural Celebration: “What I hear is that the Obama girls [Sasha and Malia] put up a list of who they wanted to see perform. I was there, so I’m guessing that was the case [that I was on the list]. It was so amazing. Being able to meet them, especially [First Lady] Michelle, because when I went to greet them, she just got so excited.”

On Speed of Light: “The album is definitely R&B. It’s electronic, guitar…I worked with two producers on this album - Eric Hudson and Ryan Kennedy. I worked with this guy, Claude Kelly, who is an amazing lyricist. It’s just this big collaboration with this team that I’ve been working with for this past year and once we penned ‘Speed of Light’ we knew where we wanted to take this album.”
