Vanessa Hudgens: New ‘Bandslam’ Stills!
Vanessa Hudgens smiles at costar and on-screen love interest Gaelen Connell in this new still from their upcoming flick, Bandslam.
In the movie, a high school outcast (Connell) bonds with a popular girl (Alyson Michalka) over their shared love of music results in them assembling a rock group that looks to win their school’s upcoming battle of the bands competition.
Bandslam also stars former Friends star Lisa Kudrow. The movie hits theaters on August 14th.

…People that say this movie is going to suck…you are WRONG. ..Have you even seen the trailer ? ..Geez, people judge things so quickly when they didn’t even gave it a chance. That really annoys me.
Ehe, I so cannot wait…now I have to wait longer though. …I’m just thankful that it’s not coming out on the same day as Ashley’s movie is. Seeing Vanessa playing a totally different character will be so exciting !! From shy nerd to emo outcast. …Lol…can’t wait !! I’ll be counting down the days too !!

btw, if you can’t handle a few criticism then you’re living in a Disney World.
There are no celebrities who have no haters. That’s a reality check for you girls. Three things for celeb. Haters, lovers and people who don’t even know them.
I hope you all will accept this little criticism when you all does this too in the past. Haters love her too. We watched her stuff. I’m no hater. Just disapproving this flick. Remember, every movies have flaws.

I’m saving my judgement until I’ve seen the film but from the trailers it looks good and something different for Vanessa she can’t be Gabriella forever just like Zac can’t be Troy forever just like anybody else change is good.

I am excited for this. Van plays the not so cool, more of a dark character. it is a nice change from her brightly dress, bohemian look of HSM. This i will be a great simple transition for her to move on from kiddie stuff to Sucker Punch which is now been confirmed. I guess for those who think she can’t act or sing, it must be quite a blow to find out that one of the most sought after directors has sought her out for this new role, and she was asked to take it. Wow…wonder what the haters will come up with next.
This is going to be just a fun movie.

this trailer really does suck. and when she’s like, “lets start shredding” it’s like she’s trying wayyyy too hard. don’t get me wrong i love v, but this movie doesn’t look like its going to be so hot. hopefully it’s okay, but i mean if it’s not then thats not good for vanessa.

this movie looks SOO stupid! after seeing that trailer i nearly barf’d. im shocked its not going straight to dvd, i really am. Her singing at the beginning….its awful! is she meant to be a bad singer in the film???? and the fact that HP is gunna be out when this is pretty much already guarantees that this film will be a flop, not to mention the fact that apart from JJJ and a few other sites, Vanessa has very few fans. Im sure I will get bashed for saying this, but mark my words, this film will flop. Just like her CD.
