Vanessa Hudgens rents 70’s movie Five Easy Pieces at Blockbuster on Sunday (May 3) in Studio City, Calif.
The 20-year-old Bandslam actress also picked up some books and yogurt before heading back to boyfriend Zac Efron’s home for a movie night.
According to Wiki, Five Easy Pieces tells the story of Bobby Dupea (Jack Nicholson), a former piano prodigy who is estranged from his artistic upper-class family. In the opening of the film, the character is working as an oil rigger. When his father becomes ill, he goes home to visit his family, reluctantly taking his diner-waitress girlfriend with him.

ok, i may agree with u but not about zac’s situation (i know u didn’t talk about him but it seemd u meant that celebs without a twitter account dodn’t care about their fans)…but actually i see the fact zac hasn’t twitter nor myspace as a pozitive way…he’s trying to be a real actor, not a disney wannabe one, so he tries to focus more on his carrer than about wasting time writing “i’m eating…i’m driving…i’m watching tv”!
personally i find useless follow celebs on twitter accounts…plus zac really cares about his fans, he’s really admirable for this…have u seen the vid by hollywood tv’s paps, following him and his mom at LAX?he was obliviously angry and frustrated also cuz a pap stopped his mom to get closer to him (he answered “hey man watch out she’s my mom bro”) but still, he signed hundreds of autographs for everybody he could also for the airport’s workers AND he always thx his fans when he gets some bday fan books or any sort of gift…(he uses to write to zefron.com)
But…i agree with u about nessa…i really like her, i simply can’t not!><
but i noticed during the years she gives more importance to herself than to her fans…sometimes she just seems too self absorbed and not down earthed…like a gorgeous girl she is and she knows that perfectly…this is the only aspect which disappoints me a lil be about her…but i do think she doesn’t have a twitter account cuz zac hasn’t…

On what do you based your idea that she is absorbed . Do you know her personally? Do you hang out with her? Or are you just basing it on photos and interviews that actually say very little about a person.
I know a number of people, fans and industry insiders who think she’s sweet and very kind and they have met and worked with her.
This I can tell you, self absorbed people don’t survive long in the this industry because people don’t want to work with them and having a husband in the industry I know that first hand. Every time we read about V lately some director or producer is meeting with her including Richard Gladstein just last week, we have Di Benaventura pursuing her and 2 movies being filmed in a 3 month period.
So I think her rep is pretty solid.

What are you talking about, when has Vanessa not been there for her fans? Ok, so she doesn’t have an official website that she communicate with personally, but so what, all stars work differently, Vanessa focus on reaching out to her fans with her work ratter then giving people false hope that they can become her new best friend.
Maybe because she’s one of few young stars who have just as many older fans as she have younger she tries to do project that everyone of them can and want to watch, that’s her way to show her thanks to the support of her fans and that she thinks of us in her carer choices. I have no doubt that if she could, she would love to meet all of her fans personally, but that isn’t possible. She’s one of few young stars who I believe can successfully move to more adult roles without risk loosing herself in the process, I really admire that she can bring out the girl or the woman in her in different situations.
When we saw her accept the award at KCA, she looked so grateful and thankful towards her fans, and she really looked like she couldn’t believe that she won.
As a fan who would most likely never meet her, I don’t feel disappointed in her or that she doesn’t care about us in anyway.
And who knows why Vanessa decided to not get a twitter, or w/e, but I doubt Zac had some big part of that, I think that if Vanessa would want one, then Zac wouldn’t be able to keep her from getting one. But she’s a really busy girl, and I’ve always admired the way she managed to separate her work life and her personal life, and maybe she feels like when she does have some time to herself, that she wants to keep it that way. And who knows, maybe it was Zac who decided against having one because Vanessa didn’t want to, that’s not impossible either, especially since like you said, Zac and his people are the once who have contact with Zefron etc. no one can know, but we shouldn’t assume and guess things we don’t know anything about.

and btw, this was just my personal opinion…when i look at vanessa i see a gorgeous girl who knows it perfectly…ok, all of u are gonna kill me cuz i speal about this but…remember scandal pics? i do believe only a girl who finds herself hot and attractive could do such a stupid thing (i would say also a girl with less dignity than a steak of mean BUT i don’t know other reasons why nessa did it so i’m gonna choose only the first theory)…she’s obliviously beautiful and ppl are telling this to her since she was a child and sometimes u may risk to get self absorbed…u know…other times u may have the brain to understand that beauty (as nice voice) is not something u made, something u can be proud and brag about…neither ur parents knew u would have been like u are now…so at least u may brag about a good mark u got after hard working…but beauty…seriously?have u done someting for this?of was u born and grown withouth doing actually nothing, letting nature and time do the job?ò.O so this is my point, i have seen hundreds of pics and vids where she was obliviously thinking i’m the hottest thing around…and also when she won KCA she walked and in her face u could read i’m the hottest and best thing alive get over it.

1-hsm2 press conference, main actors (zac, v, corbin, lucas, monique and oleysia) were signing autographs…the fan who made this vid asked to all of them to give him a 5…so here we go, zac and lucas, omg, sooo kind and funny!^^ monique and olesyia were like “what?” then laughed and againg, they were friendly and kind…then our baby v…lying on the chair, she was signing without even looking at the papers, she was looking around bored and annoyed…and when this guy asked her, she lazily gave him a 5, without saying a word.
2-v and aly pap vids when they were shopping…ok, she was followed by those lli screaming fans and?did she even look at them?did she say at least “hello!”? did she stop for an autograph?…aehm…nope…so i can understand that u feel not comfortable but this kids idolize u, they buy ur cdsssss so plz, at least glace at them once!-.-’ as i wrote be4 zac was in the same frustrating situation and he acted completely different.
3-a fan who met zac and nessa when they came back from the caraibben said lil fans ran to nessa and she unkindly told them to go away, cuz she have already posed for some pics with other fans…
so now…tell me…what? nothing…obliviously we don’t know personally…but during years i saw this mood in nessa that i can’t ignore…i was a bigger fan laste year, cuz seeing vids and looking at pics changed my thoughts about her (just about this mood).

Zac and Vanessa do not have Twitter, Myspace or Facebook but they want to be taken seriously as actors. They do not want to see as simply “media personalities”. Zac and Vanessa’s “thinking fans”(see through the Hollywood b.s) appreciate that attitude.
I like Zac and Vanessa (together and separate) and do not care how they treat they fans but I care about the quality of the projects they want me to support.
How they live the lives is their business. If they sign autographs or take pictures with fans is their business.
Is Vanessa self-absorbed? Don’t know, but I know most young people are whether they are famous or not. ( if doubt that, check out your local college or high school)

lol, we Vanessa fans are not complaining. I don’t know why it’s bothering non-fans. We feel she cares for us the way we want to be cared for and we feel privileged to be her fans.
We have no desire whatsoever to know her daily routines or have her promote herself, one strong reason why many of us are her fans and not fans of other young celebrities is simply because she does not use all those rubbish, Myspace, twitter, Facebook and video blogs to put herself out there. She doesn’t need to impress anybody.
Hence why we believe her when she says she is a private person, she backs it up with her actions and that appeals to us. We are content with what is already available in the public domain which is too much already. We like that she’s like the older actresses who keep their private lives to themselves and keeps herself separate from young Hollywood in that respect.
Many fans have met her and she has been sweet and nice, her co-workers say the same and more importantly we love that she doesn’t patronize us by pretending to be what she’s not, she’s always herself and we love that about her. She doesn’t pretend to be perfect so we love her flaws and all.
She has her life and is entitled to it, we have ours and are entitled to ours. Our decisions to become fans are voluntary so she doesn’t have to go out of her way to be something she’s not to keep us. We’ll stay anyway and we’ll rather she focuses on the career we support.
She brings us so much pleasure with her movies, songs, photoshoots and conduct, that’s enough care and thanks for us.
You see, it takes a certain type of person to be a fan of Vanessa. Anyone who wants to know the details of a star’s life and wants to be catered to will not really get her neither will they fit in.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions but I suggest you concentrate on the stars you love (and stick to their threads) and leave Vanessa alone, she’s way out of your league, that’s why you will never get her.
We don’t expect you to appreciate or like what you don’t understand so stick to what appeals to you and we’ll stick to ours.

I can list all the fan encounters I’ve heard when Zac was a total ******* especially during the HSM 3 premieres but I’m not going to do so because it serves no purpose and he’s just a human being.
I would just like to point out to you that what you say about Vanessa can be and has been said about Zac so it’s pointless to write a post defending him and in the same post accusing Vanessa of baseless accusations. We’ve heard all those before and they don’t wash.
You don’t think Zac is aware of his looks?!! under which basket are you hiding? Between Zac and Vanessa who is more hyped about their looks and who has been criticised for wearing sunglasses indoors or wearing too much make-up?
Sorry dear, worse accusations can be labelled against Zac, not that I think they are credible at all but it’s rubbish to be blind to all those and start accusing Vanessa of stuff while defending Zac when worse accusations in the same way can be made against Zac.
It’ll just save trouble if you support who you want to support and leave the other person alone. You just want to provoke Vanessa fans into criticizing Zac. Besides this is a Vanessa not a Zac thread, go to a Zac thread and say why you like him. I don’t get this obsession with all things Vanessa.

In the video of V and Aly you can hear Vanessa turn to the young fans and apologise to them for not being able to stop, and considering the fact that they were surrounded by about 30 paps, that’s not very surprising.
Also, have you ever considered the fact that maybe the paps scare her a little, or maybe big crowd does that, and it doesn’t matter if she’s alone or even with Zac, things like that isn’t easy to handle, and I and no one else can deny that Vanessa is ratter small, which makes it even harder, we’ve seen how she holds on to Zac when they for example walked through the airport I Brazil earlier this year and the fans and paps went crazy.
And if a few people have some bad fan encounters for some reasons (she’s human after all and she can have days when she just want to be Vanessa the person and not Vanessa the star, even if she might on those days have a public obligation) there are hundreds of good fan encounters, when fans have said that she was nothing but sweet and kind and willing to sign autographs and take pictures with them.
Besides like gracemarie said, the people that knows her and spends actual time with her one more then one 10 minute occasion all say that she’s one of the sweetest people you can think of, and that she’s really talented and funny. And yeah, if you want to base her whole personality on some interviews she’s done then fine, but she’s said that she’s really shy and I can imagine that it isn’t easy when you sit/stand in front of someone and you have no idea what they are going to ask you, I’ve never done anything like that but the fact that I used to get nervous just getting up and talk in front of my class in school or just 10 people made me nervous because I’m pretty shy like Vanessa, then I can only imagine how it must be to do so knowing that thousands and maybe millions of people are going to watch it, and especially that a lot of people are going use what you say and judge you by it because they have nothing better to do.

She doesn’t have that myspace anymore. She and Zac both stated at the 17 Again premiere they have none of these things.
And as far as them not having these things why does that make them non-appreciative of fans? Look at them compared to someone like Selena or Demi…This is no dis of these two young actresses but Zac and Vanessa are constantly in demand. They can’t get a breather. They don’t need to have the twitter and whatever else. They do their jobs and sign autographs during their promotions, etc. They DESERVE some PRIVATE space and time. If they don’t want to twitter or be on myspace in their free personal time that is there business. Maybe they want to be like a normal human being.
I swear every time I am out I see people talking on cell phones in their cars and I hear people talking when nobody is around in stores and find that they are talking to someone on a cell phone. People do not know how to just be ALONE and I mean just have time for themselves. They don’t know what to to do without having a phone to their ear or texting or whatever. Some of that stuff becomes a habit. Like Zac said on the Ellen show, he guessed he was old fashioned and he liked talking to his friends. And I’m sure with as busy as he and Vanessa are they have little time to do much of that so I’m sure they are not interested in reaching out day in and day out talking to people they don’t know and have never met. I for one am not insulted by that. I doubt that anyone was ever put out by the likes of Paul Newman or Steve McQueen or even Jack Nicholson for not staying in touch with them every minute of the day.
And lol, before you find fault with something else I have written, I seriously doubt that all pictures of our couple will sell. I have heard things on TMZ where they have talked about Vanessa going to Zac’s house and vise versa but have seen no pictures of it. Some pictures are not taken or not sold. It that hard to believe or understand? I’m sure if the pap that sits outside Zac’s house could take a pictures everyday of one or the other one coming and going to each other’s houses. But we don’t see that, do we?

Also, Sofia, the picture in which you referred is a meant to be private so you cannot say for her to take such a picture that it shows her as thinking “I’m so beautiful”, etc. Many a couple take pictures of each other like this so just suck it up and grow up. This was never meant for your eyes or anyone else’s eyes except for the person who took it or who she was sending it to. The person the picture was meant for undoubtedly thought she WAS the most beautiful thing there was as intimate pictures like that which are private usually mean the principle people involved are intimate with each other. SO that little tidbit proves nothing that Vanessa thinks she is so great.
