Vanessa Hudgens & Aly Michalka Think Reel
Vanessa Hudgens (in a Black Halo dress) and Alyson Michalka cozy up to costar Gaelan Connell at the Bandslam “Reel Thinking” event held at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (May 15).
The trio will lead and host a day at the museum for L.A. County students. The event will explore the music business through an interactive educational experience.
Bandslam opens in theaters on Friday, August 14.

As I have said many times Vanessa is 5′1 and is just beautifully petite. What is wrong with that? When HSM first came out and they were informing fans all about the kids from the movie she said she was 5′1. Then as Hollywood is known to do she suddenly became 5′3. Many articles written about Zac the people doing the interviews comments on how small he is. Well, the fact is he could be 5′8—very much like Tom Cruise and still tower over little Vanessa. We have seen her in very high heels and he is still taller but not that much taller which says he isn’t as tall as Hollywood would like to portray him either. So, here is this article that was out last year when she promoted her new CD.

I’m not sure if anyone is having problems having the picture download with the article I posted in my last comment but their should be a wonderfully sexy shot of Vanessa that accompanies the article. I saved the article because so many argue over her “listed” height and in my files when I access the article the picture comes right up. But when I posted the link here and I try it I get the article but not the picture for some reason. Someone smarter at the internet/computer stuff than I will have to explain that one. LOL

the shoes are a fashion mistake. she has beauful legs. a dress that short is meant to accentuate her legs. she should have worn some heels or flats.

Tell you what, you think what you want and I will think what I want. However, I’ve been around reading about stars for many years and I know that when someone tends to be petite or somewhat short that those putting out their bios always add a few inches. I know that the Sun is a gossip sheet and if it told some story about her I’d take it with a grain of salt. But we are talking about her height here. Do you think that little tidbit is scandalous in some way? Do you think the Sun printing such a thing is going to cause controversy and sale their paper? There are some things that are easier to believe than others.
Also, for years Tom Cruise’s bios said he was 5′10 which was a crock. Now after all these years with him being such an established star it is no secret that he is far from being that tall. But for some reason it is more accepted now. i can remember several years ago I was at Disney World in Florida during the Soap Opera event and got to meet many ABC soap actors up close and personal. And I can tell you that most of them were far shorter than their bios stated. And you can look at Vanessa and tell that she is far from any 5′3 or 5′4. I think I would look tall to her and I’m only between 5′1 and 5′2. She’s very a small bone structure. Just recently a fan who met her was overwhelmed just how tiny she was.
Of course if it makes you feel better to find fault with me then knock yourself out.

I don’t know why this is even an issue. She is what she is, petite, dainty and exquisite, like a porcelain doll.
On her own, she looks taller than she is because she is well-proportioned, healthy and toned but once she’s in company, you can tell she’s really petite.
She’s obviously very comfortable with herself and her height else she won’t be wearing flats. She has more poise than lots of women taller than her, better body and carries off outfits much better so I don’t get that it’s a disadvantage at all.
Yeah, there are some roles that her height will disqualify her from but there are still a variety of great roles in Hollywood for petite women and she’s not lacking for good roles despite just starting off.
Her idols, Judy Garland and Natalie Wood were petite women that were successful in Hollywood and there are plenty like them. She’s in good company.
No need to fabricate her height when it’s very clear she’s quite small.

I agree. It amazes me how many people seemingly get upset over the height issue. She is perfectly proportioned and curvy and beautiful no matter how tall she is! What is the big deal?? Plus, as I said before Hollywood somehow seems to have a distaste for someone too short and always makes them out to be taller—just like they did Tom Cruise for so long. Which is another good point…there are many leading actors in Hollywood who happen to be rather on the short side no matter what Hollywood tells us since you can’t tell on screen how tall they are. That means Vanessa will do very well with some of those “short” actors as she will make them look TALL—something the movie makers seem to want.
In the Golden Age of Hollywood there were many actors like Alan Ladd and Joan Crawford who were VERY tiny and yet their bios also read that they were 5′10 and 5′3. The facts are Ladd was actually only about 5′7 as these facts came out later after his death. Crawford who’s bio listed her the “standard” 5′3 which seems to be the thing if you are petite was really only about 5′ according to Anne Blythe—another Golden Age actress—and who worked with Crawford in the movie Mildred Pierce as her daughter. BTW, Crawford won her Oscar for a lead actress in that movie. So, Hollywood has a long history of making people “taller” than they really are. I don’t know why it is seen as a liability to be under a certain height. Ashley Tisdale readily admits she is VERY petite and Vanessa isn’t any bigger!
