Vanessa Hudgens strikes a sexy pose in this shot from the July 2009 issue of Instyle UK.
The 20-year-old actress dished to the mag about her new house, her parents and the excitement about her upcoming role in Sucker Punch. Check it:
On her parents not wanting her to become an actress: “All the rejection is tough and discouraging. It’s so dog-eat-dog, and who would want to subject their girl to that world? But it was just something that I loved so much. Man, I can’t imagine myself away from the business.”
On not living with boyfriend Zac Efron: “I’m young. I should have my own place. I think that everybody should buy their own home on their own.”
On upcoming movie, Sucker Punch: “It’s totally my Angelina Jolie part. People are either going to love me for doing it or hate me for doing it, but I’m very excited.”

I think it’s a little arrogant to say something along the lines of, “I’m not content wearing just jeans and a t-shirt.”

Sometimes people need to realize, what they say could be offensive to some people and that they should word what they say better. Everyone knows Vanessa likes fashion, she is always looking so beautiful! But, I found that comment to be a littte self-absorbed.

It would also help if some people would quit being so sensitive and trying to find fault with what a person says instead of taking their words for what “drives” them. She never meant it as any slight to anyone, only that she is driven to want to dress something up or to make it look “unique” and different than what most people are content with. There are some people when sewing like to add a ruffle or some kind of lace or other embellishment where some people would leave it plain as they don’t want to take that much time and trouble with doing something “extra”. That does not make that person self-absorbed—just creative or a little more aesthetic in what they see.

i’m sure she didnt say it as “psh jeans and t-shirts are for the poor im too good for that.” i think it was more of a “everyone just wears jeans and a t-shirt. i’m going to mix it up a little bit.”
everything she says gets wayyy over-analyzed.
People find the weirdest things to comment on. I don’t get how it was offensive that she said she’s not content with just wearing t-shirts and jeans because she loves to experiment with fashion. She was answering that question for her. She didn’t say everyone should do the same. She didn’t say everyone should wear labels or buy clothes at a certain price tag. In fact in the same interview she stated she didn’t care about labels.
In my opinion, this was a great interview of her. Props to Instyle for asking most questions about her career than her personal life. Love her answers and I particularly love what Zack Schnyder said about her.
By the way, I think this should also be posted on JJ site as the magazine is more geared towards adults.

Guys ” LETS TALK ABOUT VANESSA HERE” rather than entertaining negative thoughts of others. After all they are the ones making their own world smaller everytime they pop up words against Vanessa. In short VANESSA HUDGENS name really affects their lives…

I hate how fans write like they know these people. as soon as somebody say somthing like vanessa style is wierd her fans goes her style is not wierd she is intelligent and starts to bragg about her. everyone here seems to write the same thing shes so pretty and awsome,the best actress. but no one cant say she cant sing or act. I just want to say do not go on Ashley post comparing her to Vanessa. All that does is give her numbers. Usually an Ashley post is worth 20-25 post by the same 5-10 people, lets just leave her with that.

Um haha, what? She has worn jeans & a shirt before… She’s just talking about how besides that she usually likes to mix it up and wear other types of clothes etc.. The magazine is called Instyle and they’re talking about fashion. It’s like your purposely trying to find something offensive in nothing.
