Vanessa Hudgens strikes a sexy pose in this shot from the July 2009 issue of Instyle UK.
The 20-year-old actress dished to the mag about her new house, her parents and the excitement about her upcoming role in Sucker Punch. Check it:
On her parents not wanting her to become an actress: “All the rejection is tough and discouraging. It’s so dog-eat-dog, and who would want to subject their girl to that world? But it was just something that I loved so much. Man, I can’t imagine myself away from the business.”
On not living with boyfriend Zac Efron: “I’m young. I should have my own place. I think that everybody should buy their own home on their own.”
On upcoming movie, Sucker Punch: “It’s totally my Angelina Jolie part. People are either going to love me for doing it or hate me for doing it, but I’m very excited.”

Everyone Let face it, when you dislike someone whatever the person say or do they will find fault even when there is non. So there really is no point to feel offended by the likes of them.
I find her very genuine person and unique to the typical Hollywood stars. She knows what she wants and work hard for it. Anyone who believes that she live an easy fairytale story is soooo wrong. You think making a film, attending premiers and photo shoot is easy job, do rethink.
My work requires me to travel extensively and every time after a flight I would be very exhausted. I can just imagine how much more difficult for those ppls that need to “work it” right after the flight touchdown.
And Naomi, thanks for posting the article. That has got to be my favorite so far; she is mature, well-balanced, level-headed, and shows such responsibility for her age. Just so impressed with her ability to acknowledge mistakes and learn so much from them. And I especially love this interview, and how well she worded her answers!!

I know right? I agree with everything you said and feel like such a proud mum.
I loved how she acknowledged her flaws, no excuses, just matter of fact.
For me, she just epitomizes quiet strength. She’s very focused but she doesn’t have to make a show of being focused and driven, she just is.
In the same way, she’s independent without having to go out of her way to prove that she’s an independent strong woman. She’s shown that she can be devoted to a relationship and value it without being swallowed by it.
I love her last quote. It puts into perspective her determination not to acknowledge nor respond to negativity or trivialities. She can put her energy to better use.

Maria, I have to agree with you about the interview…one of her best. She is so honest that it is refreshing beyond words. How can you not like her is the question? And the photoshoot is awesome….very sweet and sexy at the same time.
Thanks Naomi for the link to the interview. Love what she said about everyone should have a place of their own. She sounds so focused and will not let anyone/anything distract her from her goal. Gotta love her! I’m sure that’s why Zac adores her too.

Thanks, Naomi, for the interview and all. I left shortly after my post and just now saw your post. I didn’t want you to think I didn’t appreciate it! I think this is such a better photoshoot than the one she did in Brazil. I was disappointed in that one—not that Vanessa wasn’t beautiful but I just thought than magazine would have had something more sultry or sexy or something—kind of like this one.
This is much better than the photoshoot in Brazil. Great interview.

I laughed about the organized thing she has going on. That is how I arrange my closet—not so much as I did when I was Vanessa’s age but when i was her age I was in far better SHAPE and clothes were a lot more fun. LOL No wonder she and Zac do not live together full-time. He’s admitted that he is a disaster area when it comes to cleaning and being tidy. That may be something he will need to work on! However, I have seen that so many times in really tight loving relationships—one is really neat and organized and one will be a total spaz and not be able to keep track of anything. Hopefully Vanessa will be able to rub off on Zac in this area.

Maybe but it will take years! When I was young my dad was untidy and my mum is a neat freak and now he is finally learn to become one.
She’s always so complimentary towards Angelina Jolie <3 She’s so sweet and humble and she’s going to fight her way to the top too.

These is just the slighest investment Vanessa has at the moment. Will see again in the next 2 -3 years time..
On her style: SHE is What she is! Simple clothing makes it stunning as always on her body. Why? Simple answer again, because SHE IS UNDENIALBLY A STAND OUT DRESSER. ( Lol lots of her contemporaries are pulling her style even her fans)
