Mary-Kate Olsen Joins Vanessa Hudgens in ‘Beastly’
Vanessa Hudgens must be more than excited — she gets to work side-by-side with one of her fashion icons — Mary-Kate Olsen.
Variety reports that Mary-Kate, 22, will join Vanessa and Alex Pettyfer in Montreal to film Beastly. She’ll be playing Kendra, a girl who places a curse on a Alex’s Kyle, who’s physically transformed into everything he despises.
Beastly, set in Manhattan, is about a popular kid with a mean streak who ditches a date. His date, Kendra, turns out to be a witch who curses him to become everything he hates. The grotesque transformation leaves him with the seemingly impossible task of finding true love to break the ugly spell. Shooting begins June 13 in Montreal.

I agree that the promotional photoshoots are going to be real wicked. Can you imagine 2 beautiful ladies,both petite, one blonde, the other brunette and a young blonde greek god to boot. This is something to look forward to. Vanessa is a nice contrast here. Yay! Awesome!

So it’s starts filming in like a week and a half? Why did she go down there so soon then? Is Alex already there?

I summise she had to go down early to have fittings and have a read through of the final script with everyone involved. You sit around a big table with everyone involved in the project and read through it all. Vanessa will have lots to do, you know an actress doesnt just turn up and the day and shoot theres a lot of preparation before hand.
As for MK being in the movie, Its nice to see she is going back to films after focusing on fashion and tv for a while!
