The 2009 Teen Choice Awards are just around the corner and the nominees were just announced!
Hosted by the Jonas Brothers, the 2009 Teen Choice Awards will air Monday, August 10th on FOX.
Twilight, Miley Cyrus, High School Musical 3, the JoBros and Gossip Girl lead the way with the most nominations.

the reason why megan will most likely win over vanessa this year as opposed to last year is simple, last year vanessa and HSM was on a winning streak. the whole year was about them and keeping them in the public eye which in turn brought in alot of publicity for the cast. this year however, Transformers will have just come out and Megan Fox has been much more front and center than Vanessa. I REALLY dont think High School Musical is going to win anything, like at all. Maybe Zac will win an award but even that will be for 17 Again and not even HSM… I think the MTV Movie awards proved that the HSM Hype is dead and gone.

I reaaaaally don’t want this to be another “Twilight Award Show” where that dang movie grabs up all of the awards. I love Twilight and all, but come on the movie sucked compared to the book. People are only voting for Twilight because they’re in love with the books. That’s basically the only reason people went and saw the movie.
I would like to see Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens take home the Choice Movie: Liplock. I’d also like to see Vanessa take home Choice Movie Actress: Music/Dance.
Let’s cross our fingers and hope this doesn’t turn out to be some boring award show where the same people win over and over and OVER again. It gets old after awhile.

Its kind of sad that teens nowadays only care about the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, HSM and the cast, and Twilight. Yes it is. They basically state it in their terms. Voting is taken into account only to eliminate the nominee with the least votes, then the producers decide from who is remaining. Most award shows of this type(Mtv, kca, vma) are rigged in some way.These award shows basically exist for the fun, hype, and mainly promotion. Of course people may as well still vote because often times I do think they pick who ends up getting the most votes.
