Vanessa Hudgens - ‘Beastly’ Sneak Peek
Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer look on to another scene in this sneak peek for Beastly.
A behind-the-scenes look will air exclusively on Entertainment Tonight about the fantasy romance flick. In the movie, a New York teen (Pettyfer) is transformed into a hideous monster in order to find true love.
Vanessa and Alex have been bonding off the set as well as on. They were spotted getting a bite to eat last weekend. Vanessa had a special visitor this weekend — boyfriend Zac Efron.

Aww I can’t wait for this movie! :] I want to see how Alex and Vanessa’s chemistry on screen.
And to marissa that’s a mean thing to say. I mean you could hate her, but that is just rude to say you want to pay some one to kill her. Thats like murder right there.
They neglect to mention that Zacs younger brother was also in Montreal with Zac. I was at the Virgin Music Festival and was stood next to the Beastly cast ( alex Pettyfer is HOT in the flesh) But anyway zacs brother Dylan was also there. I know because at one point during the night I was stood next to him when my friend who had managed to get us the VIP tickets went to the bar. Dylan was on the other said of Zac for most of the night and they were laughing and joking together with the Beastly cast,while Vanessa boogied away to the music. It was an amazing line up the best ive seen so far.
I just love the look of this film already. They have managed to make V look hella young and fresh faced, very natural. MK looks good and I just love the way Alex was staring at V’s character in that scene

Do you realize that being famous in Hollywood isnt all about having the most fans?There have been countless people that have had millions of fans but they drop off the face of the earth some people are gonna say they hate Vanessa and some people are gonna love her but the only thing that matters is that you know her
It isnt all about having fans.In hollywood to be a heavy hitter you dont have to have a billion fans you have to have popularity whether people love you or hate you the point is theyll look for you online cause theyre interested which gives you more popularity so ofcourse the paparrazi know that theyll take pictures of you adn sell them and the people who come on Vanessas post and comment about how much they hate her? Well your only giving her mor popularity therefore signifying that she will remain relevant as long as haters keep talking about her.

Daniel Barnz is proving he’s a master with visual effects. I love the look of the movie and he has such a good looking cast to work with.
I love MK’s look, Alex and Van has really good chemistry and I love Daniel’s interpretation of the beast, he still looks hot and sexy in a sinister way. I really like the expression on Van’s face in the clip where she looks like she’s gliding or taking a two step.
Can’t wait for Monday, I already love the look of the movie. It’s great that it has CBS backing it. If in the first week of promo, we’re already getting a sneak peek, then the promo will be out of this world. CBS has the outlets to promote it well too.

Also Zac could have been there earlier since we haven’t seen him for awhile and he probably didn’t use LAX - you can use a regional airport like Burbank to go to Montreal.
Also if the paps aren’t expecting you you can aviod them. V got into Montreal with no papa airport pixs.
It looks better than I thought it would. Alex’s make up is pretty creepy but of course that is the exciting part of the story. Mary-Kate looks great as well. I’ve always loved her as an actress and it is great to see her doing more projects.
I’m really excited for this movie and I think it was a great choice for Vanessa. It’s just part of her experience in learning and becoming better in her craft. She’s innovative with her thinking and taking on different roles to challenge herself. Great for her! Can’t wait for the movie to come out.
P.S Vote for Vanessa, High School Musical and Slumdog Millionaire for teen choice awards. I felt that all of these people were robbed at the MTV awards especially Slumdog Millionaire. It’s an oscar winning film. It had six nominations and won nothing. Does that make sense to any of you?? Please vote for all of these people.

That is not a bad photo. A lot of people do that. Don’t get me wrong, I am a Vanessa fan as well but I don’t think you should be arguing with false material.
Ashley has taken what you can call sexy photos lately (one’s where she is lying on a bed in a singlet top and underwear) but that is the worst she has ever done. Taking those photos are her decision if that’s how she feels she can break away from her young demographic. But she doesn’t have those photos.
Guys, Vanessa photos were a mistake she made when she was 15 or 16. These mistakes are made by a lot of teengers and they get to learn from them in private. The difference for Vanessa is her mistake was showcased to the whole world because some cruel person decided it would be funny to release them.The photos were private, they weren’t meant for our eyes in the first place. It doesn’t make Vanessa a bad person at all, it makes her human. People need to get over the photos and understand that’s not about the mistakes we make but how we learn from them.

She’ll been in Montreal for like two months, a little more, then she is in Vancouver almost immediately after for SP. I don’t think they will need her the whole time for SP though, while she is a lead character, she isn’t the main character.
I hope that they both do get to go to the TCA’s. I’ve been voting for them everyday. I think it’s great Zac is supporting her, it’s not like she doesn’t support him. He might be going home this weekend for Father’s Day, you never know.

Anyway, this is one movie in my opinion which will appeal to the young and mature audience. Looks like it will be a hit. Not a scary movie at all, more fairytale with a modern twist. With Neil Patrick in the cast, it is gonna be good.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were in films BEFORE HSM and AFTER HSM that are nothing alike. Of course, they are going to be more well known from HSM because it’s in the MARKET for everyone! Even if you didn’t like it, this movie was viewed from people aged 2 to 92, so that means they reach more people. More likely than not, people didn’t watch Thirteen or Miracle Run from both of them because it’s not in a kids’ market.
Also, so what if they are known for this and their love more than their acting. It’s not going to change the world. I remember how before Twilight, people seemed to have no clue that Kristen Stewart was in Panic Room? Speak? Flinstones In Viva Las Vegas? It’s been over 10 years and people still remember Leo from Titanic more than anything. So don’t try and knock them for being in an multimillion trilogy and being more well known from that than anything. I wonder when Miley gets older will she lose the HM alter ego? JoBros the Disney band sensations? People will always be more known for some role that they portrayed because that’s what got them through the door or able to support themselves!

I’ve said this before and I will say it again. These awards have no credibility. Even though I will vote for Vanessa and I want her to win, I am also completely aware that the award does not mean that much. It’s just a fun award that they give out every year.
Helen was right. Freida Pinto did not win an MTV award but she is fantastic. Dev Patel did not win an award but he was spectacular in Slumdog Millionaire. Kate Winslet did not win an MTV award but yet took home best actress at the Oscars. Slumdog Millionaire lost to Twilight but yet won The GOLDEN GLOBE & OSCAR FOR BEST MOVIE. These are talented people but they did not win.
I think it would be great for Vanessa to win a TCA but it is not the end of the world. It’s just an award voted by 13-19 yr olds and doesn’t classify her as an actress. The same thing with Ashley. Great that she won an MTV award but it does not classify her as an actress. The only way to prove themselves will be through the hard work they put into their work. Not a voted award.

I am not here commenting to bash Ashley. The girl is cute and she has talent. However, it is obvious she is working overtime trying to get attention—and I’m not downing her for it since in this business one has to “sell” themselves and “promote” what they have to offer.
But frankly, I believe if she wins over Vanessa there is definitely something questionable about it. I will have to say it is because the producers decided they would let her win this year so it won’t be the same as last year. OR maybe they will see her as the “flavor of the month”. And I will say the same for Rob Pattinson and Kristin Stewart.I said last year that Zac would probably not win Hottie since he won it the year before once I read how the producers are the ones who actually make the final decision. And sure enough the “flavor of the month” won—the Jonas Brothers. So, this year I’d say neither Zac or Vanessa will win the Hottie Award nor will the Jonas Brothers. Of course, I may be completely wrong.
Now before everyone jumps me I am going to point out a few facts that you haters really can’t deny:
1) As many have pointed out it seems that particularly the Ashley fans spend more time on Vanessa threads than they do on Ashley’s. Many times you won’t even see some of these supposed Ashley fans even commenting on her threads at all. What’s up with that? You people make more of an effort to keep Vanessa from winning something rather than supporting Ashley and trying to gain her new fans. And why? because you KNOW Vanessa is more popular than Ashley and gets more attention. The same could be said for those who are supposedly RB or KS fans working so hard to see that Zac or Vanessa don’t win. You all know Z & V are the people to beat.
2) And speaking of Ashley, Rob, and Kristen I don’t see their threads having anywhere near the hits—-on most ocassions—as do Vanessa or Zac’s threads. I believe that says it all. If the above 3 I mentioned were so dang popular why don’t they get more hits? The same goes for the JoBros.
The point is, the responses all these celebrities get usually proves who is the more “famous” whether any of you like them or not. The ones getting the most comments are the ones who are more “interesting” or at the very least stirs up the most emotion. Some deadbeat out there seems to muster up enough energy to post on Vanessa’s theads even if it is to insult but can’t type 3 words on a thread of someone they are a fan of. It does not take an Einstein to figure this out.
Karen, that isn’t always true. If you go to twilight forums, they have HUGE members, and there’s tons of them. There’s also alot of communities and forums that talks about them and their comments are HUGE. Just because they’re not commenting in here, doesn’t mean that Rob and Kristen isn’t popular. Same w/ JoBros. You only need to look at their concert venues to realize how huge they are.
Anyways, can’t wait for ‘Beastly’. I hope we get more than a 10 sec preview on Monday for this. ^^ Go go Vanessa!!

Yes, that may be true BUT Vanessa and Zac have forums too and are very popular in those. BUT when there are threads here people go crazy—HATERS as well as fans—so it isn’t like they don’t know when a thread for Rob or Kristen is up on JJJ or JJ but they don’t post. One twilight community that I’m aware of has 20,000+ members. They’re very active too. There’s tons of communities for them also, so them winning isn’t really questionable.
Oceanup mostly talks about JB/Miley and their post gets about 200-400 comments. I also visit korean communities and when they talk about JB/Twilight/Miley, their post and view counts are huge.
The only one I’m really not sure of is Ashley. I see her things getting posted in various sites, and people post positive/negative comments about her and move on. So who knows about her.

I guess the reason people are saying Ashley’s award is questionable is because her fanbase is much smaller than her two main competitors in that category. I think Ashley winning had nothing to do with her fanbase. I’m not saying that you guys didn’t put in the effort to vote, I am talking about other voters. We have all seen Ashley on the suite life (love that show) so we are more familiar with her acting. I think that might have been what got her the top votes. It is true the producers do pick the winners in the end but they have to be among the top. That’s why I think Ashley won. Not only that but her character is more flamboyant than Vanessa’s. That had nothing to do with who was the better actor that was just because of the script.

People won’t know what’s hit them. Van is and will always be different to other actresses, she has self respect and dignity and doesn’t need to be anyone but who she is. I’m not going to make it into a Van v Ash, because they are supposed to be bff. They wouldn’t want it. But I do have to say that of the two, Van has more going for her career wise. Let’s just say, that any award, determined by how many hits can be done on the internet, and then ultimately decided by a producer, who has some ulterior motive, is just meaningless. Those awards are for bringing in money for the advertisers and viewers for the channel. Interestingly enough, Vanessa was the one they kept showing in the audience. She was the one who handled herself with dignity, supported her friend and her BF, and showed great class.

What some fans don’t realize is the popularity awards(TCA, MMA, People’s Choice’s) do NOTHING for the winners’ career. Winning a TCA surf-board will not generate more CD sales or lead to more acting roles. No one is going to download a JoBros’ song because they won a surf-board, or offer Ashley Tisdale a movie role because she won a “hottie” award.
The awards are marketing outlets for record companies and movie studios to promote the future projects(especially CD and movies that are being released in the Fall).

I agree with you that Ashley has been in more things, and her acting is pretty good. But most of her movies, besides HSM, has had her being a very minor character, as most actors are when they first started out. V has also been in movies, but a minor character, too.
I also agree that Miley’s fans are young, and probably don’t even know how to vote, let alone have the patience sit through four pages of slow voting.
But, I also think that these voting award shows are not totally up to the voters, that is my opinion. I think the people behind them, in the end, pick the winner. If that is true, then Ashley may not have had all the votes as you think.
A lot of people underestimate Vanessa, saying she can’t act, can’t sing, can’t do anything, just because of how she started out, and because of her scandels, that along with her lawsuits. She has Bandslam, which may not do so well truthfully, but looks funny. And, she has Beastly, and SP, plus according to some sites, she is beginning her third album, too.
No offense, but Ashley isn’t doing anything that big right now. She has her second album, alright, and that stupid Alien movie. I’m sorry, that just looks plain stupid. Not to mention her animated series. I’ve never seen it, nor has anyone I know told me to watch it, so you can see just how good that is.
Anyways, people underestimate Vanessa, so if we, the voters, are not the only people weighing in on who wins, she probably wouldn’t get picked.

I really like that the author is excited and happy about the adaptation of her book.
And to add to Vancrazed, Lilly and Maria’s comments, I also thought I’d point out to Vanessa fans why we should ignore these freaks and continue our positive support.
From what the author said, it’s clear that the studios consider Vanessa a major star and she greenlighted this movie. It became a go when she agreed to do it and everything fell in place, that’s why from the sneak peek, you can see she’s the first billed.
So twats can sit here and blab till kingdom come stating ‘their opinions’ on who is at the top or who can act. At the end of the day, it’s the substance that counts, your pulling power and the roles you’re able to land. Vanessa obviously gets that and her focus demonstrates that.

First, honestly! the girl is not beauty at all, surgeriess! she’s not even blonde, so skinny. Vanessa is a natural beauty, no surgery! so talented and she is exotic.

Why are Ashley’s fans trying to justify about Ashley winning the MTV award. Look, she won it so stay off of Vanessa’s threads and stay with Ashley, where she is very hard-up for fans now. It sounds like Ashley’s fans have some doubts and guilts that Ashley doesn’t deserved to have won the MTV or else, why would they be on some other celebrities threads trying to convince the world about Ashley. Just proud and move on.
My opinion is that the true winner should be Frieda Pinto of Slumdog. She has help Slumdog win Golden Globes, SAG, Critic, BAFTA, 8 Oscars including Best Movie of the year, and many more major awards that are more honorable, notability, reputable, and creditable. Frieda is currently filming another movie that will be out in 2010. Plus she is sign on to film a Woody Allen’s movie. Plus the other nominees like Amanda Senfield are busy filming upcoming movies, just like Vanessa is currently filming Beastly with Sucker Punch next.
The MTV, KCA, TCA, & People Choice Award are just fan based type with the producers of those shows will induced the winner by certain promotional influences of certain stars. Do all of you think nominees like Angelina Jolie, Rodney Downey Jr (Ironman), Christain Bale (Batman), and the other big time stars that have won Golden Globe, SAG, Critic, BAFTA, and Oscar awards give a crap about these MTV, KCA, TCA type of awards. Plus they did not even show up for being nominated, because it is a waste of their valuable time. The only way that they would get super stars like that to show up is by having one of them be part of the show being as host or presenters. These type of award shows probably would contact their agencies in advance if they have won the award in order for them to make their presence for the show. KCA, TCA, & MTV awards are small fries to these big super stars. Plus they are focusing on the bigger and better fishes.
Vanessa is focusing on the bigger and better things as well. She is filming Beastly, and her next project is Sucker Punch. There are many rumors on more films that directors/producers are working on for her…like Dead@17 and maybe one of Richard Gladstein’s film. She is moving forward and making her future movie projects plans quietly among herself and her management team. I am very excited about Beastly. The mood and atmosphere feel so haunting and enchanting.

For those who were thinking that Vanessa was suppose to be “ugly” or not attractive for this movie I believe are off a little. Now grant it I have not read the book but what I have gathered from people who have I would say that Kyle being the rich brat who thinks he is the big cheese and all the crackers too would only go for really glamorous girls and who would have the same kind of personality he has. When he turns into the beast I think Linda is to represent just the simple girl who he would never have noticed since she is not flamboyant or glamorous in what she wears or the car she drives, etc. But suddenly he sees the true beauty—not something she had to paint on her face to make it so—and starts to realize the truth about love and life. So, it isn’t that Vanessa was suppose to be truly ugly in any physical sense of the word but just the way she is herself, a beauty whether she is wearing all the glamorous makeup and is done up by makeup artist or just going out for a smoothie in cutoffs. She is perfect for the part.

We have no idea how long Zac will stay in Montreal with Vanessa. She will be busy working so I doubt he will stay the entire time with her as he also has work-related business to tend to in LA. He may want to spend some time with his family in SLO before he has to go to Vancouver for a while. Maybe he will leave Montreal and come back to LA or go to SLO and then back to Montreal again. OR, maybe he will go home to visit his family and back to LA and maybe Vanessa will get a few days off and will come back to LA for a few days to visit her family or maybe they will go see her…. Do you see what i am getting at? Nobody knows since there are too many situations that could happen. We’ll just have to wait and see. Maybe Zac will stay with her for a couple weeks, but I doubt it.

Zac did this time what he has done countless times and managed to get out of L.A. to visit Vanessa without the pap’s catching him and seeings that he was’nt spotted in LA. all of last week it could be that he was there all week just like when he went on the tour bus with her for a week but again just like this we did’nt know until a picture or sighting got posted.
And it’s not like they won’t see each other as they seem to make sure that when they know there going to be seperated for a while due to work unless like in MAOW it’s in a different country that they make time to go and see each other and support each other which is a strong part of a lasting relactionship you give each other space to do what each has to do but also relaize that the ‘ relactionship’ is also a important part of your life and needs special time spent on it to.
And for SP and Zac’s film won’t they both be in Vancover at the same time? So again they won’t be apart for that long and will no doubt hook up again we won’t know until a photo or sighting gets posted.
I’m sure that Zac will have gone home for FDay as he is so close to his parents and as you say there could be a lot of options for him to either go back to see Vanessa, stay in SLO for a while before he has to go and start his film. The main thing is that he seems to have got the relaxing summer that he wanted and seems to be enjoying himself without the usual heticschedule that he has previoulsy had and has got sometime to himself and that’s good.
I hope that they do make it for the TCA and that both they and HSM do well.
