Vanessa Hudgens Takes a Music Break
Vanessa Hudgens is taking a break from musicals for a while.
The 20-year-old actress dished to MTV on the set of her new flick, Beastly, that musicals and music aren’t in her immediate future.
She shared, “I love musicals, I really do. I grew up doing them, so it’ll always have a place in my heart … at the same time, it’s nice to be able to separate the two and just be able to focus on films. It’s a lot of fun playing different characters and taking on new journeys.”
Vanessa continued, “Honestly, I’m kind of taking a break from music right now. I’m just focusing on films and acting. I feel like when I’m doing something I really want, [I] focus on that and try to not spread myself all over the place.”
Miss Hudgens is currently filming Beastly in Montreal, Quebec.

she’s doing the right thing..it is typical disney if you spread youself everywhere,just like those other disney-stars do and if she wants to get away fronthat image this is a good step.zac did too and you see it works = )

What exactly is your deal? Why is it so important for you to know where Zac is this very moment? Can’t you be happy just to know he is taking it easy and has been enjoying time with Vanessa whether he is in Montreal now or not? Perhaps he will stay there until he leaves for Vancouver or maybe not, what difference does it make? Wonder if he is in LA right now, will you have to know what he is doing there too and when he leaves or arrives? It is not anyone’s business what he does on a day to day level. Give it a rest.

OMG! You people are as delusional as she is. She acts like she’s been in some really great musical productions over the past few years and now she needs a break. It was HSM for goodness sake not broad way or any other noteworthy musicals for all to see….. not just kids.
She is way too important for her own good and so full of herself. Not to worry though since her boyfriend is now producing his OWN movies, I’m sure she will always gave one to star in no matter how lousy she is.
The two of them deserve each other.

Oh and BTW when she said take a break from music SHE MEANT FROM MAKING ALBUMS music is not a musical but only incorporated in it. I thought every one in the WORLD knew that. Like you know when you turn on a radio there’s MUSIC. I guess that just goes along with your problem with understanding.
Most of Vanessa’s film projects are involved with different directors, producers, screenwriters, or filming companies. Each of her films are not associated or linked to each other. Looking at some of Zac’s film projects like 17-Again is produced by Adam Shankman, the director of HS (Zac’s first movie film). His next film “The Death & Life of Charlie St Cloud”, the director is Burr Steer, which he was the director for 17-Again. Now the one he signed on to do a sexy thriller, where he will be the executive producer, the screenwriter and producer were also involved with 17-Again. Now if Zac would have done “Footloose”, the director is Kenny Ortega, which directed HSM1,2,&3. The one movie that is not related to all his previous projects is MAOW, which is a Indie movie. Zac is very fortunate that he strucked such connections to make his career easier.
Vanessa does not appears to have that type of connections, only by working hard and getting out on her own to meet these directors, producers, screenwriters, and film companies. I hoping that her talents and skills will capture the heart of one or more director/producer/screenwriters/film companies to struck-up that type of connections to make her filming career path easier. I hoping it will be Zach Synder of Sucker Punch.

Karen your statement in # 90 very clearly explained on how VANESSA fought a good fight where she at right now. Everything she has right now she deserves it.
She has unique beauty that made other people spot their hearts on her. Though even until now there’s still lots of people questioning her talent.
But I bet others, VANESSA after 4 years has proven significant career especially to her fans all over the world . She has started a career that will make her more known someday.
Despite the fact she had undergone and put herself in a devastated situation the girl during that time was only 17 were brave enough coping to such humiliation that’s because of her positive attitude .
Whatever races she has, will support her always. I was able to appreciate Vanessa because of that bad experiences. And even learn to love her more when I came to know that she has a filipino blood.
