Emma Watson: Columbia University Student?
Emma Watson has chosen which college she’ll be attending once Harry Potter wraps filming — Columbia University!
The 19-year-old British actress, who had her pick of Ivy League schools, is listed in Columbia’s student directory under “Charlotte E Watson” (her birth name is Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson). She even took a tour of the campus back in October 2008.
Emma recently told Teen Vogue mag that she wanted to be normal. She shared, “I just want to keep it private [my university choice] for as long as I can. I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal. I really want anonymity. I want to do it properly, like everyone else.” Sorry Emma, we spilled the beans!

good for her.. a big break from movies is the best
I heard she is going to give up acting and go to school.. love this girl. Seriously has a great head on her shoulders. I think it’s great, should be an amazing experience for her, hopefully no haters though. We are adults at university LOL . I wish I was at Columbia though. Love Emma, really hope she goes through with it, after HP of course <3

This is the school that I would love to go to. I am still in high school for 2 years, but this has always been my dream school. Emma Watson is one of the rare celebrity’s the has her head on her shoulders. She cares about her education, not her fame. I hope that she will be able to have a normal students life. Good Luck Emma!

yeah Emma came to the USA and took the SATs…she wrote about it on her official website. But I’m not sure this news is true. I mean she could use an alias to avoid drawing attention, but rumors have been released that she’s going to Yale, Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, Brown, and now Columbia so I’m not going to believe anything until Emma says it herself. It’s her business.

it’s really admirable of her to continue her education, but I hope she still continues to act after she graduates. Lots of celebrities have gone off to college and had successful careers afterwards like Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman, and Jame Franco.

I don’t think this is okay. You said by yourself that she wanted to keep her choice private, and you just don’t. I think you should respect her privacy, and remove the article.

I think that’s really rude, disrespectful and …. well a lot of rude words I can think of tbh to tell everyone this. I’m sure other websites will be posting it too but that doesn’t make this any better. She specifically asked for privacy. How is she going to expect a normal education now?

What the hell? How on earth do you know “Charlotte E Watson” is actually Emma? There must be dozens of Charlotte E Watsons in the US. This is rather a pathetic article and very attention-seeking.
Aaaaahahahahaha. Fools. I just checked the Columbia website and found this “Charlotte E Watson” listing, and this girl is enrolled in the School of Continuing Education- the program that runs courses for highschool students, ESL courses and courses for people who already have an undergrad degree!! Its description says…
“Applied professional master’s degree and certificate programs for working students; courses for graduate school preparation, professional advancement, or personal enrichment; structured programs for graduate school or college preparation.”
This can’t be Emma Watson! She could be studying as a visiting student but she would not qualify for a degree.

She’s going to an Ivy League school, so it’s bound to attract attention whether she goes to Columbia or not. But I think Emma doesn’t want the media to know before she gets there so there won’t be all this hype around her when she gets to school, which makes alot of sense.
i love emma watson.
but, i just think that jjj was being bad to her by spill out which college she’ll attend.
