is so handsome and cute! I love him
he’s amazing!
he is SUCH an inspiration, so commited and mature, and he has handle so well this problem. He seriously is the best role model that someone can have, even if they have or not diabetes. I’m, as well as everyone else, so proud of him, and even when I think he can amaze me more, he does. He is the best and I’ll never get tired of sayin it. I LOVE NICK JONAS <3
i like nick and all… and i know the rolled up sleeves thing is like his signature look, but it just seems so unprofessional to do at a time like this. you are at a Senate hearing full of politicians and whatnot. roll down your sleeves! wear a tie! i mean hes looked more professional on the red carpet than this.
How many times must we hear hear his story? Seriously its all he talks about. There are like BILLIONS of KIDS suffering with the same thing!
http://www.mileyraydaily.com
God I am so sick of hearing him BRAG about his freaking DIABETES WE GET IT. I have a WHOLE FAMILY who suffers with that GOSH it aint that serious that we have to hear it 1,0000 TIMES

good for him, and his speech was very well written!
thanks nick for helping this cause on behalf of two of my friends who, too, have type 1 diabetes, it means a lot to them
i agree with everyone,he is truly an inspiration.he’s an example that everything is possible.God bless him!
@DemiFan:
You know? this is just not for nick this thing about diabetes is for everyone who got diabetes. The testimony is like a step for them
to find a cure for it.
Nick is such a great role model. I love how he doesn’t let his diabetes bring him down. And that he lives his life to the fullest. He is a great insperation. i pray that one day they are able to find a cure for diabetes.
@DemiFan: Gosh would you shut up. I get that your sick about hearing him talk about his diabetes all the time. But what I dont get is if you have such a problem with what he’s talking about, why are you even on here!? Why are you griping for all the wrong reasons when he’s doing something for all the RIGHT reasons!?
Nick is a smart, inspirational young man who is a hero to many including me!!! Who shouldnt be judged for doing something right and helping others no matter how many times he may mention it. I will love and support Nick forever
im soo proud of nick jonas hes an angel i love him
@DemiFan:
You’re stupid, no offence. Your whole family suffers from it, I get that, but what exactly do you think Nick is doing? He’s helping, not only himself but everyone. He wants to find a cure. If you’re so sick of it, there’s a very simple solution, even for you. STOP WATCHING! See? Simple and very, very helpful. *round of applause*
I feel sorry for him I wouldnt want diabetes at all I just hope nothin bad happens to him anywayz LOVE HIM!!!!!
@DemiFan: SHUUT UP! He’s one of those people who have the diesese. It is serious what the hell is ur problem? I
@DemiFan: SHUUT UP! He’s one of those people who have the diesese. It is serious what the hell is ur problem? And hes saying that speech for a good cause. SHUT UP ur a freaking a**hole!
I´m so proud of Nick Jonas
@DemiFan he’s using his story to represent millions. so i don’t know what you’re getting at.
@DemiFan:
He’s not bragging about it! Why would you brag about a freaking DISEASE? That’s like bragging about having AIDS or Cancer! If you’re so tired of hearing him talk about it, don’t click on the article! Wouldn’t common sense tell you to do so? Nick is fighting for what he believes in. He’s helping a cause? Are you helping a cause by whining about how he is apparently “bragging?” No, no you’re not. You’re just making yourself look foolish by saying such a completely unnecessary and completely rude comment.
he’s gorgeous.
@Kiara:
girl, i was with u for the most part, but dude your not seriously comparing Aids & Cancer to diabetes??? right? O_o
words cant explain how i feel. i truly admire him.
make me cry :’D
I really dont know why but that speech made me feel so proud of him… I mean… he was so honest about the dealing with his Diabetes every day and I admire him so much, I see a lot of me on him… he is a pretty good boy and I hope that the JoBros stand here and well for a long long time… Greets from Guatemala!!
great job nick let your voice be heard am proud of you.
@Kiara: Um, I’m not making myself foolish. I’m making a point. Every time he’s on a show or something he always talks about the FREAKING DISEASE like he’s the only one with it. It becomes annoying you know?
@#1 Jonas Brother Fan: How bout you shut up and let me say what I want.
beautiful speech nick!!!
just a little bit longer.
speeches like that will make you president. fo sho
@DemiFan: You say you have a whole family that has it, so wouldn’t you understand how much it means to your family to find a cure? And how is Nick bragging? Why would someone want to even brag about having a disease you have to live with your whole life? Yeah, sure he talks about it a lot but that’s only because he believes in finding a cure. He knows he isn’t the only one with diabetes but he does know how it feels to have to live with it everyday of his life and that’s why he’s pushing for a cure.
Okay, people, stop with the “He’s hot.”
What matters is that he gave an amazing speech and he’s trying to help people that are going through what he’s going through. So stop worrying about looks.
i am so proud of & luv Nick but it seems like everyone is treating him like he’s the only person with diabetes. we first heard this story in like 2007?? it was?? i think. but now its been like 2 or 3 years we been listening to this. its starting to get annoying, why is everyone giving Nick special treatment??? I mean I love Nick, his song and i’m glad hes taking it well but I mean come on its time 2 stop now…
btw, this is my opinion thanks!! =]
y don’t @demifan and the others picking on him shut up!
nick is supporting his cause. and i think it’s very brave of him.
Diabetes DOES affect an entire family, not just the person that who has it. TRUST ME!
My dad has had type 2 my entire life, and i was recently diagnosed with type 1.
it’s really hard just to move on from day to day, but Nick shows that its possible to live a full live with this disease.
and no, maybe it isnt the same as Cancer or AIDS, and that not making light of any of those diseases. All are very difficult to live with.
and i’m not being a cry baby, i know there are people out there whose lives are more difficult than mine, but this isn’t a cake walk either (no pun intended!)
i think you all need a little empathy for him!
He’s brought light to an issue most people don’t realise, and he’s using his celebrity for good, which i think is very noble.
so just leave him alone.
I think it’s the first time a lot of teenagers watch an audience to the Senate.
xD
@DemiFan: You say your family suffers from it you SHOULD care! Cause maybe one day, Nick might help people in your family with the work he’s doing.
I’m so proud of him.. His such a cutie and inspiration. truly. I love him. Miley such lucky girl. haha
that man behind has such a red face :O is he the devil
I Love Him So Much, With All Of My Heart
Wow, That Was Truely Amazing, Is There Anything He Can’t Do
Total Inspiration, I Wanna Meet Him One Day!!!
He’s Only Sixteen!!! Gosh
Demi fan- I hope you know that there are 2 types of diabetes .Type one is juvinile diabetes which can’t be cured and is in you from when your born and shows up at different times for some people, my brother was diognosed when he was 9. Type two is most common and usually happens in overweight people and they can get rid of it over time with a good diet. My brother has type 1 and he’s 15. He hates to know he has it and he does’nt take care of himself and has almost ended up in a coma. Sometimes in the middle of the night he starts screaming and starts having convulsions because he’s to high or to low(his blood sugar). You don’t know how it is ok ? so don’t complain about someone that has it. I ‘m glad Nick is pushing for a cure.
@moni445:
LMAO!!!!
Having a mother, grandmother and cousins with diabetes, this is inspirational and I wish him the best.
now that’s why i love him
i never really like him well i never said i hated him but i wasnt really a fan but i listen too his songs and stuff BUT THIS SPEECH WAS JUST AMAZING AND SAD AT THE SAME TIME but now i am a fan HEHE =)
@Cassy: HAHA
my sister has diabetes type 1 too. good on him for doing something good with his fame.
go nick
He needs to work on his public speaking. That was one of the most boring things i have ever heard. being a rock star doest mean that you are the numbe one best public speaker, you didnt even give across any hope or excitement, your audience wasnt even enthralled.
awesome!!!
this was totally amazing it made me cry. he is so inspirational in everything he says xx
that speech was breath-taking, his such an inspiration and i support him, and all the other kids suffering from diabeties, too. and @DemiFan i and loads others totally disagree with you, gosh the most of all Nick was trying to do is pass the word to keep strong through this problem in life, and i think it was very inspiring, so please just shut up because that is horrible. and i love him, because his amazing.
im sad about him,i was a huge fan of him before he got back with miley
but i don’t care what does he do,he’s another idiot american teenager.
be happy with your s…t girlfriend nick!
or die now !
he did such a good job !
aww
i love nick
great speech!
@angie: uhh yes I know that. Type 1 means your born with it Type II means you are diagnosed with it. I had health classes on diabetes before. And wired you have the same name I do. (that’s my real name.)
@qiana: yeah I’m pretty sure it’s DEADLY serious just because he has it and he’s a Jonas right. That’s the funny part of this whole deal that fans only take Nick serious because of that. Again, there are tons who kids suffering with it and dying with that. Unfortunately we are all going to leave this earth one way or another so there’s nothing TOO SERIOUS about that fact dear.
Nick that was Beautiful=’]
awww, i love you so much<3 <3 <3 <3
@DemiFan:
Um, hello? That’s kind of the point! Being famous has it’s perks. When Nick Jonas talks, people listen and begin to understand. And, we can help people live a better, easier life while here on earth, disease free. We may all die, but we atleast have the right to an amazing life. I don’t truly believe your whole family suffers from it. It’s like finding a cure is the last thing on your mind.
went to his concert last night and cried when he told us about it during lil bit longer
wow!!
he’s a great inspiration! and a great role model!
thank you nick for doing that. you probably just changed a bunch of kids’ lives.
go jennifer! i totally agree, he’s doesn’ complain, he just try to help other people
I think it’s really great f Nick to speak to the senate about his health problems that he shares with millions of people, many of them kids. Nick is an inspiration to us all, and I really think we should follow his example. Go Nick!!!
He’s so beautiful and cute !!!!!
I love himmmmm so so so much <3
that was hot.
i didnt think it was possible for him to get any more amazing but this just proved me wrong. it had me in tears. he’s truly a hero. my hero. and im incredibly thankful to him for doing this.
@DemiFan: oh and btw F*CK OF B*TCH!!! it is serious!!! hes not bragging! why would he brag about something like that!?!?! are you seriously that stupid!?!?! i get that other people have it. my grandpa does. my friends do. so i know that it is serious. but hes using his celebrity status to make people aware of it, not brag that he has it. by telling his story, hes letting people know who may not be aware of it that its affecting many people and that we need to do something if we want to find a cure. what hes doing is considered inspirational not annoying.
You people say oh millions of perople have the disease he just brags about it. okay yea millions of people have it we get that but if there is someone as well known to get awarness out about it whats wrong with that.? He is just trying to help out all the people and find a cure and he had the power to be heard about it so why shouldnt he use that power to do something usful
@DemiFan: First, if you or any member of your family suffer from Diabetes, I’m sorry. But if you or they truly do have to live with this disease, I hardly think that you’d feel that Nick Jonas was bragging about his having to live with it as well.
He seriously wants to find a cure for it, not only for himself but for everyone who has to deal with it. You don’t have to like Nick Jonas, but you shouldn’t slander his attempts at helping people not only around the United States, but around the world who have to live with this.
My mother and my younger cousin both have Diabetes - my cousin since he was only five years old and my mother more recently. I really don’t want them to have to live with this for the rest of their lives, because, despite what you seem to think, it is serious and there have been numerous deaths all across the globe because of it. My sister-in-law’s aunt simply got a cut in her foot one day and, since she was a Diabetic, it didn’t heal properly and she had to have her foot amputated.
I commend Nick Jonas for doing what he’s doing - not only addressing the Senate, but also making kids and their parents more aware of this disease that affects so many. So maybe you should just take another look at your family members and ask yourself if you really wish them to live with this horrible disease for the rest of their lives.
-Rachel.
wow, nick can become the future U.S President. He’s so cool. Way to go for Nick to stand up. Love you Nick.
This was on Tuesday, June 23.
I was in DC when he was there.
Nick is Perfect !
I LOVE I LOVE
He’s awesome.
GO NICK!
@Rachel: I couldnt agree with you anymore than I already do.
@DemiFan: No duh, thats why hes helping! and SPEAKING OUT!
sheesh…
@Madi hate stupid ppl: Bravo *clapping*
OMG he so cute :’) i love him.<3
well, to the people that say he is bragging, he is not. he just so happens to be one of the many people that have diabetes, my brother has diabetes, he is fine. nick is fine too. i just wanted to say too, i bet have of his fans didnt even know wat the heck diabetes was until u knew nick had it. lol anyway, i just wanted to say, he is trying to help find a cure for diabetes, not brag wat the hellll. anyway, if he always talks about it, its becuz people ask him bout it, itz not a big deal, with diabetes, all ya gotta do is take care of urself, at least thats wat ma brother has to do, and i think itz true, my brother is 6 turning 7 though. he is famous, everyone thinks itz huge but it isnt amazing, a lot of people have it. and he is a teenager, its hard to live with, thats why he wrote a little bit longer. also, i am proud of nick in the speech, it sounds professional, kinda lol. he is totally the serious one haha.
peace.love.nick lollll
@katie: the point is he acts like he is the only one with it. Stars like Pattie La belle don’t go around and around retelling her story. We already know she has it and we doin’t need to hear it over and over like a broken record. And no, I will not F**CK off, as long as people like u keeping commenting then I’m going to keep posting weather you like that or not
.@Rachel: Even if I do, that’s not going to find a cure. If that’s the way God wants them to be then I can’t help that matter. Do I want them to live with that disease.? No. Do I want your family members to keep suffering?, again, NO. I am not slendering his attempts to help I’m sledering the fact that he can’t go ANYWHERE without saying something about his DIABETES. As I said before, we don’t need to be reminded that he has it over and OVER.
@jENNY: Diebetes travels on FAMILY HISTORY just like CaNCER so if one of your CLOSE RELVATIVES have it, you are most likely open for it. So Far, I’m the only one who dosen’t have it
@#1 Jonas Brother Fan: Sweetheart. they were already looking for a cure long before Nick even walked the earth. So if they do find one. It won’t be because of Nick.
@Madi hate stupid ppl: umm, you’re stupid for trying to change my opinions dear. And if you don’t like my comments hun, BAD NEWS, there are THOUSANDS like myself that are not a fan of this BRAGGING TWAT so get ready for the others cause I am one of the MANY.
Demifan-”Even if I do, that’s not going to find a cure. As I said before, we don’t need to be reminded that he has it over and OVER.”
umm, actually they could find a cure. they’ve found a couple of things that sometimes work, but i don’t really think nick jonas is going to help it along that much. and he’s not really letting people know what it’s like at all.
@DemiFan I can understand where you are coming from. As a type 1 Diabetic I sometimes feel that Nick makes a spectacle of being a Diabetic. He does at times its more of a downer about the disease than a uplift of hope for a cure. BUT in the long run it does more good than harm to have another famous face being Diabetic with him being able to do things like this & talk to the president on the issue of funding for research. So yes he does make too much of it at times but I will also say even with that it’s nice to have a song about dealing with being a type 1.
@Brent: yeah but ” A Little Bit Longer: is not just about his diabetes is for anyone who is strugglin with losin friends and fam ECT. Nick said that on Living The Dream
@DemiFan: Okay, ya know what? You’re extremely harsh. you claim you have the right to your opinion, but so do the fifteen billion other people who have replied to you. And invalidating their feelings isn’t gonna help. Maybe try being a bit more diplomatic? If you’re irritated with it, don’t WATCH it. and btw? you’re being kind of a hypocrite, going on about how all of your family has the disease, and then critisizing a celebrity for telling about his experience. Take a chill pill, kay? if you’re that irritated with him, it shouldn’t matter what he does. And all of you extremist psycho fangirls who are getting your feathers ruffled? CHILL. Why is it of such importance to you what this girl thinks? You probably don’t even know her, and she has a right to think what she wants. Everybody needs to flipping breathe and quit attacking each other like five year olds.
excellent speech!!
he is the next president!! haha
i have family members that have this and i think its realy osm how hes abel to bring this up frount and show that it realy needs to be adressed. but does he have to be sooo serious all the time?
I’m so glad he’s so giving. You can see that his diabetes really made him think and changed him and he doesn’t want others to go through this. I think it’s just soo cute and generous of him, knowing because he’s very famous it’s gonna get attention…
Love ya Nick <333
@DemiFan: I can understand your getting annoyed with him talking about it all the time. But the thing is that he’s not the one who chooses to do so. The people who ask the questions are. He is very open with his Diabetes, to bring awareness and, thus, funds for research to find a cure. So, if and when they do ask, he answers them because if he said, “I’m sorry, do you mind if we skip that question?” it wouldn’t make any sense at all.
Other things being repeated (How’d you get started? What’s going on with the purity rings? What are your influences on this album?) I can understand why you’d get annoyed with hearing over and over again. I get annoyed hearing it over and over again. But something where he brings light to a cause, like anyone trying to bring awareness to anything, I’d hear it a thousand times and more if it helped.
And it has helped - at least one portion of his goal. He has brought awareness to the situation. Kids and their parents are more informed on this disease and that’s got a lot to do with Nick Jonas.
-Rachel.
@DemiFan:
What’s the matter with you? You are very mean with celebrities. He has a condition. He doesn’t even brag about it. You don’t hear him saying ” Oh diabetes is the best the you can have!”. And it’s not. You need to stop making fun of him right now. You have no respect for people with a condition. He isn’t just a person. He is a person with feelings just like you and me. I can see why a lot of the other people is being very mean back to you.
@DemiFan:
Will you stop being mean for once.
he so mature and smart!!!!! its really rare that u see a sixteen year old taking about diabetes!!!!!!! most of them are partying around!!
I love nick jonas! he is so inspiring!!!!!!
hello nick .. I tell you never miss the fe.el be in that situation is something difficult I know but what matters is that they can live and maintain a normal life just keep in mind that everyone is different in many ways and we all have problems life …. tu cancion de i little bit longer tells the truth because no one knows what to q is no longer continues …. everything will go well the last thing you have to lose is faith and hope god you’re a singer and super good as to let you down, not snared by a stone learn to live with it and will always have the strength to continue and move on …. I want you I love you fence very well
omg i love you and when i saw this i was even more in love with you for all the love you have
He is inspiring about finding a cure. However, at the same time, it never seemed he was pushing for this, UNTIL, he too, had diabetes. That’s what’s annoying about all celebs! They don’t push for something like finding a cure, until, they too get it themselves, or someone dear to them does. Actually, that’s how the majority of people in the world act. So, in my opinion, celebs like the JB’s are one of the best, who tries to help others, not just for themselves.
i couldnt believe hes only 17… he sounds soooo mature!!!
i noe he talks about his story all the time… but what else can he say??? an autobiography would always convince ppl more cuz one would sound more convincing w/ his/her own story anywayz… so its all good
but im sure hes a lotta pplz inspiration… hes reli reli mature on handling this… at his/my age (im like 5 months younger… haha)
THINK POSITIVE!!! xD
