Vanessa Hudgens Munches on French Fries & Milkshakes
Vanessa Hudgens recently sat down with Alloy.com to chat about her upcoming flick Bandslam.
The 20-year-old actress dished about going from giddy Gabriella in HSM to monotone Sa5m as well as her craziest fan encounter. Check it:
On learning to talk without any emotions: “It kind of was [hard] because I’m such a giddy person and I laugh at almost everything, so I had to refrain from that. It was a lot of fun, you know? She’s a different kind of person, so it took a lot.”
On her snacking guilty pleasure: “I like dipping French fries in a milkshake.”
On her craziest fan encounter: “Probably in Brazil. I was coming back to LA and I was with (boyfriend) Zac [Efron], and there was a security team holding hands, circling us and I was like, ‘Oh gosh, this could be a disaster. We look ridiculous!’ As soon as we walk in, I’m about to say, ‘It’s OK, you don’t have to do it,’ when a bunch of fans come running out of nowhere and it became a mob scene. It was crazy.”
On those New Moon rumors: “It was completely false. I never even talked to anyone about that movie at all. It came out of nowhere. My sister is a big fan of the books, so she’s read almost all of them and I’m friends with Nikki [Reed] who’s in that movie. So she told me about it — and I was like, ‘It would be awesome to work with you!’ But it’s not really happening right now.”
Bandslam hits theaters Friday, August 14th and be sure to keep voting for Vanessa in the Teen Choice Awards!

Don’t start controversy here between Zac and Vanessa. I think they both are doing very well with each of their careers. Seems to me they are walking down a path together and pretty much matching each other step by step. I think we will see them emerging and showing their respective talents within the next 18 months and people will have no basis to make fun of either after that—even though some will.
You don’t know that Zac will win at the TCA’s particularly since those awards are —in the end—decided by the producers of the show, sorry but true. I have a feeling Zac and Vanessa might win something—it will be like throwing a bone to their many fans—but I think the powers that be will see to it that Twilight wins major things and also Ashley will be on the winner’s list. When you don’t see someone like Vanessa even nominated in the red carpet icon category but Zac is—-and that’s not to say he isn’t also deserving—then there is something really amiss about it all.
She is awesome!
