Zac Efron: Guys’ Night In!
Zac Efron chats it up on his iPhone as he arrives at Olive Garden restaurant on Monday evening (June 29) in Calabasas, Calif.
After dinner, the 21-year-old Me & Orson Welles actor and a friend stopped off at a drug store to pick up some cold beverages. Sounds like a guys night in!
Over the weekend, Zac took some sailing lessons at Marina del Rey to prepare for his upcoming role in The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.

Look, Zac is 21 years old. If Zac was in college the beer would be flowing freely in some frat party. It would be highly unlikely there would be wine flowing. Thank goodness he isn’t out at some club with a bunch of celebs who just want to be seen. Also, he is not hiding or trying to pretend he isn’t having a beer with a friend.

I see Zac has changed clothes between going to Olive Garden and getting beer with his friend. He really looks good going into OG. It’s good to see him without the beanie. Plus, you can see he is not a big guy. I really doubt his friend is like 6′5″ which is why Zac would look so much smaller. Zac has said in interviews that he used to be the smallest guy in his class at school which made it kind of hard until he started getting a little height on him.

Who knows what the call on his phone is all about? Why speculate about such things? Maybe someone just told him something that made him have a reaction like “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” which means he wasn’t angry or anything else. He’s just responding like anyone would. The problem for Zac is he has to be caught by a picture of the moment and yet he is simply tying to be like you or I would be in that situation and he’s trying to pretend nobody is photographing him.
IF he is angry perhaps it is because normally when he goes home he is not followed by the paps and he can have a “normal” existence. So, maybe he is mad right now that that down time he usually gets when he goes to visit family and friends has been violated. You can see why he is not a fan of twittering.

I mean, when i knew Rob Pattz smoke i was like “who cares?it’s his personal life”, i’m not that huge fan, but i think he’s pretty talented and i hope he’ll escape soon from the twilight fever. A friend of mine just adores Rob, and she had the same reaction as i had about him smoking, simply, it’s not our problem if he smokes.
But with Zac it could be different. As much as i try to think i have to focus on his carrer and not on his personal life, when people talk about him smoking or drinking (saying random things, not as true facts) i feel like…not a shock…but…well, i have a different reaction, I have to thanks disney and their stupid squeacky clean images. They made lot of teenagers believe he is the good guy. I don’t mean he’s a “bad” dude or something, it’s just that now, every single thing he does that doesn’t match with our personal image of him, will seem to lot of young people wrong, just because in the last 3 yrs disney’s PR made us thinking that he’s perfect. If he drinks a beer, where’s the big deal, every single young man drinks beer, he’s not using any sort of drugs! About smoking, again, it’s his life, plus, my parents smoke as well, so i may think it’s a stupid thing to do, but nothing evil.
Finally, if lot of young fans are disappointed by how Zac acts nowayds, then it’s better for Zac himself to loose them. We all have to realize he’s not what disney told us, he’s just a normal dude, who’s like all the 21-yrs old guys out there.

He starts flming CSC in August, but he might go up late July just for preproduction stuff, I mean, he is the star of the movie. And, he still might be able to make it to the Teen Choice Awards, they give them a couple days off once in a while when filming a movie, and he is nominated for a lot of categories. I agree that drinking a beer every once in a while is no big deal. As long as a person keeps it under control, or doesn’t get drunk and drive, then drinking is fine. In fact, drinking some things in moderation is actually healthy.
Smoking, on the other hand, is a nasty, stupid, dangerous habit. It bothers me that Shia and RPat smoke, mostly because they are role model that young kids look up to. Shia has said that he’s trying to quit. I honestly don’t think that Zac smokes. He seems to be pretty health conscious. He also seems to be smart, and anyone in this day and age that starts smoking is just an idiot. But, if he did smoke, I would lose A LOT of respect for him. I’d still think that he is the hottest, sexiest guy in the world. But I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t want to kiss him. Yuk.

We can’t judge people just because they smoke. Look here, a lot of famous people, a lot of venerable stars whom we look up to smoke, but we still idolize them. I know for a fact that i wouldn’t lose respect for Zac if he really smokes; i would only try to persuade him to stop in whatever way i can, writing letters, for example.

Well, I do admit that I have a prejudice when it comes to smoking. Years ago, before there was so much evidence about how dangerous it was to the smoker and even to the non-smoker via second hand smoke, then I wouldn’t really blame anyone for starting. They would be drawn in by sexy advertising, and they would get addicted and couldn’t quit, even when they wanted to. However, I believe that anyone who starts smoking now, when we know how bad it is, is just not very bright. And like I said, I find it especially troublesome when a person who is popular among young adults smokes, because they look at that person and get the idea that it’s okay. But it’s not okay. It will kill them, and perhaps even those around them.
It’s also been my experience that if someone smokes, no amount of trying to persuade them to quit will work. It is up to the smoker to decide that he wants to quit. Once that happens, then we can lend our support. But it sure isn’t easy, since they are physically addicted to a dangerous drug.
@leslie: But it is still a personal choice, and if indeed he smokes, then it is his choice. I’m sure he’s well aware of the dangers of smoking and the effects it has on your body, as well as how it ages your body. If he chooses to smoke, then he has to own that decision. It should not change how we think of him. It does not affect his work.

I don’t know that I even need to point this out—certainly not to those true fans of Zac’s—but to this “ClosePersonalFriend” person I think this should be stated.
Just 2 weeks ago Zac was in Montreal with Vanessa. Papers reporting the sighting spoke about how loving they were with their caresses, etc, looking perfectly happy. So, I seriously doubt he has a new serious relationship with someone in San Francisco. Also, here are a few more facts and the timeline which I always like to refer to to keep it fresh in everyone’s minds:
1. Zac and Vanessa are together at the MTV awards.
2. The following week after Vanessa left for Montreal on a Monday Zac is running around LA doing charitable work.
3. The middle of the next week he goes to visit Vanessa in Montreal and see the Black Eye Peas concert with her. There are pictures of them together and reports of their affectionate caresses, etc.
4. The next week after coming home to LA he is seen one day filling up his car and then seen taking sailing lessons—all in LA, not SF.
5. The next week he is seen with HS friends close to his family’s home of SLO—also not in SF. Apparently this “new” gf is not too important to him…
6. Also, some are stating he had dinner with Megan Fox too which is in LA.
ClosePersonalFriend, just a little word of advise for you, this group of fans are not brain dead. They know the facts—sure, once in a while they need to be reminded of times and dates, but most are more informed than you apparently are. You need to go play your games elsewhere.
It would seem just like usual—speaking of last year when Zac and Vanessa were apart from each other because of work commitments—-everyone and their brother wanted to start rumors that would make people believe that somehow Zac or Vanessa had split up or were cheating on each other. It didn’t work then and I highly doubt it will work now.

There was a post on her yesterday and it talked about her being with her longtime love Brian Austin Green. Who knows, maybe when she was with Zacn and Vanessa having such a good time at the Golden Globes they spoke about wanting to work together sometime in the future. Maybe this new “sexy thriller” is something he is seeing if she would be interested in doing. You need to understand that Zac is an actor and he will be seen with beautiful women from time to time strictly for business. It doesn’t mean that if he is with a beautiful woman that he is cheating or that there is anything going on that is wrong. Tons of young actors and actresses in Hollywood are beautiful and it will be very difficult fot Zac not to be seen with some beauty from time to time just like it will be difficult for Vanessa not to be seen with some hunk at times. Do you think these two gorgeous people (Z&V) are going to be paired up with ugly people to work with?
Just remember how things got out of hand when Zac went out with Kay Panabaker. People wanted to crucify him over nothing. He was in plain site and wasn’t trying to hide and yet people read all kinds of things into that. It was totally unjust. We have no idea if he was even with Megan Fox but I have no doubt that if he was then there was a good reason and given that he was not hiding it then it is highly unlikely he was doing anything wrong. AND if there was some reason to suspect something was amiss the entertainment shows would be gobbling it up and spitting it out with every broadcast. It seems to me the gossip sites and magazines are just dying to have those kind of stories running about Z&V and they never get a chance since they are always together.
