Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Alyson Michalka, and Gaelan Connell, the rocking comedy flick is set to hit theaters on Friday, August 14th.
Movie summary: When gifted singer-songwriter Charlotte Banksasks (Michalka) asks new kid in town Will Burton (Connell) to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: go head-to-head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben (Scott Porter), at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands.
Against all odds, their band develops a sound all its own with a real shot at success in the contest. Meanwhile, romance brews between Will and Sa5m (Hudgens), who plays a mean guitar and has a voice to die for. When disaster strikes, it’s time for the band to make a choice: Do they admit defeat, or face the music and stand up for what they believe in?

I won’t buy the soundtrack, but I will see it.
Already pre-ordered mine. I’ve been waiting for ever to hear Van’s cover and the rest of the artists including David Bowie and velvet underground especially.
The sound track sounds very promising. I like the idea of introducing younger music lovers to indie and real music.
Can’t wait for Van to start promo with the rest of the cast. I kinda feel she might not be involved with all the promo as she’ll nedd to go start fight training for SP. I’ll guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
I’ll take whatever little she does.

so glad she is so busy, but I am really missing her. so ready for Bandslam…seems like a cute, fun movie and I know she’ll be glad when this is behind her so she can move on. Great things ahead for her.

Vanessa is talented, gorgeous and amazing and so can’t wait to see all her future things

I’ll be the first to say I’m anxious to see Aly in this. I read the script and the role was definitely written for her. It will be amazing to hear new Aly and AJ music and contrary to popular belief, Vanessa isn’t starring in this film, she’s a supporting role.
I wish I understood this ridiculous hype of zanessa~~ and all the cute pet names people develop for someone they don’t even know. Then again these are the same people that feel the need to bash any of Zac’s friends or co-stars when mentioned, cool if you feel like using people as a verbal punching bad to defend someone you will never know. It’s understandable to like someone for their talent, but I’ve never seen a group of people so obsessed with a relationship. This isn’t a zanessa post, it’s an update regarding a MOVIE that some of us are actually looking forward to and not in hopes to see zac and vanessa together. Go discuss zanessa, vanessa’s other projects, and links to vote for irrelevant things elsewhere.
Stoked for Bandslam! It’s going to be a great movie with a great cast and I’m even more anxious to hear the soundtrack.
