Vanessa Hudgens: Everything I Own Music Video
Vanessa Hudgens gets the crowd going wild as she belts out Bread’s “Everything I Own.”
Featured in her upcoming flick Bandslam, when gifted singer-songwriter Charlotte Banksasks (Aly Michalka) asks new kid in town Will Burton (Gaelan Connell) to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: go head-to-head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben (Scott Porter), at the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands.
Against all odds, their band develops a sound all its own with a real shot at success in the contest. Meanwhile, romance brews between Will and Sa5m (Hudgens), who plays a mean guitar and has a voice to die for.
Bandslam hits theaters on Friday, August 14th. Don’t forget to order the soundtrack!

The arrangement caught me off guard initially but I love her performance. She totally rocked it!
When they were singing without the instruments, you can hear her voice, loud and clear. THAT is live singing!
How she amazingly held that long note is great. I would so love to see her on stage. I think she’ll get there in the future.
With the arrangement, after a couple of listens, I got used to it and can appreciate how a band like theirs would put their own spin to that song. They are not a mainstream slick band and their performance would reflect that to keep the movie authentic.
Todd’s decision to film the music scenes live was awesome. It totally feels and sounds like a concert performance in a tent not a studio performance.
The scenes in the movie were really sweet and fun. I can’t wait to see the entire movie.
I’m sorry, but that was HORRID. Her voice was squeaky and she is singing through her nose! I love vanessa, but if you guys think that is some “amazing vocal range”, you’re missing out on so many great singers. If you compare her other notes to that long one, they’re not that far apart, her voice is just naturally high much like her speaking voice.
That performance was just cringe-worthy.

seriously, i like her, i love her voice…but this song…uh…not her best one…plus it reminds me a shakira’s song form laundry service…don’t remember the name, maybe it was a spanish one…dunno…
and i’m going to agree with @lacyy, the kissing scenes are gross, van looked a lil bit stupid singing that song…and the movie…doesn’t look that good at all, but i’m gonna see it, just because i can’t judge something i haven’t seen…

Haha, why people can’t use their creativity and come up with more original comments beats me.
We have this over and over again, a clip or vid of Van is released and suddenly, so many ‘fans’ some of who we know very well not to be fans suddenly come on declaring their love for Vanessa before stating that they hate whatever she appeared in or that it’s ‘gross’ or ’stupid’.
Dear ‘fans’, we’ve been there, done that. Come up with something new or rather sit here with the music video on repeat while you monitor her comments.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion but we’ve been here long enough to know those who express their opinions and move on and those who haunt her thread, watching which way the wind blows before they chip in their worthless two cents.
I sincerely hope you all stay away from the theaters watching ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’ at home so we don’t step on you while dancing away.
Back to a more exciting topic. The soundtrack really needs to drop now.

wow. that was awesome! in the trailer it made her sound weird, but hearing the whole song really made her sound awesome. she did a great job. i can’t wait to see bandslam!

@Naomi: my dear, say what you want, but if i find something gross or which i dislike i say it with no problems. you may think that being a fan means that you have to love and adore every single thing you idol do…to me it’s different, end of the story.
ive listened to reggae all my life, and ive heard so many covers for this song, but im sorry but this is the worst.
the song doesnt suit her voice.
if they chose a different reggae song then it might sound better.
I think you should ALL listen to the original aswell as this version!

Sofia, I do agree. I don’t think as a fan you have to like everything that your idol does but Naomi does have a point. You can’t blame her for writing what she wrote. There are people who fit Naomi’s description. Whether that refers to you I am not sure but you need to take a better look at what she wrote.
Loved it.
i don’t think this was the full song, you have to see the whole thing, but it was great and I love Vanessa, she really gets into the part, and seeing her live was a great expierence. I can’t wait to see this movie.
