Xavier Samuel is Eclipse’s Riley
Australian actor Xavier Samuel has just landed himself a role in Eclipse — the third flick of the ever-popular Twilight franchise.
The 25-year-old will play Riley, a good-looking college student who joins the plot of villain Victoria to murder protagonist Bella (Kristen Stewart) according to THR. Riley is corrupted by Victoria, for whom he has an inexplicable weakness.

Although it would have been cool to have a name actor play the role as was suggested by the screenplay writer, Xavier does actually look a lot like the character I imagined in my head while reading the book. Plus, I’m an Aussie and I’ve seen him in the stuff he has done here on TV and Film. He’s a really decent actor (although that may just be in comparison to the less than stellar co-stars he had hehe). Yay for Xavier!

I thought that Tom Felton was getting the part of Riley, I doubt Twilighters will be happy with him because he wasn’t even thought about choosing in the Twilight community, which, in my opinion, is more important than the director or anyones decisions.
I’m sure it’ll be an awesome film tho, can’t wait for New Moon either
Yeah, I think he’s actually really good! he looks a lot like I’d imagined him.. Maybe his hair should be a bit lighter. But.. They can do that if they want.

i didnt picture him like channing tatum i pictured him like this,
cause i always thought he was very young looking i dunno why,
just cause hes a new born and getting used by victoria i guess,
thats why it would look weird being someone like channing tatum.

i didnt picture him as riley when reading but i do now. although i think his hair may need to be a bit lighter in colour
