AJ Michalka is a Secretariat Star
AJ Michalka is teaming up with Diane Lane and John Malkovich on her newest movie, Secretariat!
The 18-year-old actress/singer tweeted, “I didn’t wanna announce this until I started filming, some of you already figured it out…I’m working on a film called Secretariat.”
Secretariat tells the tale of Penny Chenery, owner of the racehorse Secretariat, who won the Triple Crown in 1973.
AJ dished on the film deets that she knew, saying, “It’s a Walt Disney feature film with Diane Lane and John Malkovich. Diane & Dylan Walsh play my parents. Randall Wallace is directing! So excited about this movie, it’s a beautiful true story. Having an amazing time filming in Kentucky! Finally the news has arrived ha!”

This this could be an interesting movie. I have to say that A.J. seems to be making the right choices acting wise: She’s already gotten to work to with one Academy Award winning director (Peter Jackson in “The Lovely Bones”) and Randall Wallace was nominated for an Academy Award for writting “Braveheart.”
She’s come along way from doing “Cow Belles” for the Disney Channel and the “Sweet 16″ movie for MTV.

seems like a very comfortable role for her since she has always showed a love for horses. should be good!
