Life With Derek Wins Big at 2009 Gemini Awards

Ashley Leggat and Michael Seater are walking away with new shiny Gemini Awards after their wins on Tuesday night (October 20).

Their series, Life With Derek, picked up the Gemini Award for Best Children’s or Youth Fiction Program or Series. In addition, Michael also picked up his own individual Gemini Award for Best Performance in a Childrens’ or Youth Program or Series. Congrats!

Michael tweeted his shocked feelings, “I CAN’T BELIEVE I WON A GEMINI!?!?!!”

What channel is “Life” on now? It used to be on Disney but new episodes haven’t been aired for awhile now. I could do without his Drop Dead Fred hair and her boobs in the face dress but I enjoyed watching the show wth my kids! LOL

I love LWD and Ashley’s gorgeous. I hope Disney airs the movie, but I don’t think they will so hopefully it’ll be available online somewhere.

I’m such a big fan of the show, this has to be one of my favorite Disney programs, and just love it. It’s funny, it has great storylines and the characters. I’m such a big fan of all of the cast members, I’m glad they won a award, and can’t wait to send my letter to Joy Tanner played as ”Nora McDonald”, on the show, she played the mother. Ashley Leggat and Michael Seater, they look great at the red carpet @ Gemini Awards. That’s nice pretty dress she wore at the red carept, I wish the whole cast members where there.
