Robert Pattinson: Breaking Dawn Dream Director is Gus Van Sant

Robert Pattinson revealed to MTV over the weekend that he would love to work with acclaimed director Gus Van Sant on the fourth and final film in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn.

The 23-year-old actor shared, “I probably shouldn’t say this but I’ve heard that we’re going to shoot it in Portland. I think Gus Van Sant would be great to do it. He shoots everything in Portland. He’s good at making it look beautiful.”

Robert added about the fourth film, saying, “It’s all about teenage love and obsessions. I think Gus Van Sant would be great.”

@janeybell:

I agree, he’s such a well respected director and I would hate to see him ruin his reputation in such an unnecessary way by in some way being connected to these “films” (I use that term very loosely)

No! Don’t shoot here! DO NOT WANT! Though, Portland is big so as long as they’re no where near my area it’s fine. No extra teenies or traffic here please.

Twilight was a highly successful film, grossing nearly $400 million worldwide. Why any director would NOT want to be apart of it, is beyond me. It’s not the best film in the world, but it’s a GOOD film. People please be more open minded for movies.

@janeybell: @e: Amen! I thought I would find comments saying how “Yes Gus Van Sant would be perfect for Twilight” I bet you more than half of the Twilight fans haven’t seen any of his movies. He has standards so I highly doubt they will ever get him. At least I would hope not.

@robsten lovin: That’s opinion. I couldn’t stand the film. Just cos it’s popular, that doesn’t mean it’s good.

I couldn’t stand Breaking Dawn, so Gus Van Sant might actually be able to make it a bearable film. But like others have said, there’s no way.

I saw this discussed on some Twilight Weekly show. They mentioned Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill), and Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd), J.J.Abrams (Star Trek movie), Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hell Boy), and Chris Weitz (New Moon).

i agree it is an opinion. i personally love twilight but some people I know can’t stand it. I cannot wait till New Moon but i respect peoples opinions and will not judge them. i have no clue who gus van sant is so i cannot say anything about him.
