first? Taylor is awesome. She is the epitome of the music industry right now. I hope she wins all of them! i know, i know, wishful thinking
Love her, she deserves it.
sorry cant compare to beyonce.
hope Kanye West will not be at the Grammys. Anyway, I hope Taylor will beat Lady Gaga on song of the year and album of the year
Taylor deserves to win at the Grammys, she outsold Beyonce, Lady Gage, Kanye and everyone else in those categories last year. Go Taylor, keep shutting up all the haters!!
Im sick of taylor swift winning
nobody can compare to beyonce or lady gaga
thank god stupid tweens dont get to vote
Congrats Taylor. I love her.I feel that Miley got snubbed though. The Climb is a great song.
Miley and Grammy does not mixed AT ALL, so STFU Miley kiddie fans
@jo: Then don’t.
@Jenna: @Jenna: Apparently there are. CMA’s are not fan voted. Did you vote for gaga and Beyonce? Their fans don’t get out the vote or maybe it’s because Taylor out sold them. I like Beyonce too, but Taylor’s putting up the numbers.
im sooo tired of this *****. cant wait until people start saying “Taylor who?”
i don’t hate taylor but i can’t help but feel that these award-giving bodies are getting carried away. like, “poor taylor, let’s give her this award to make her feel better about the mic-grabbing incident.”
Taylor was winning awards long before this kanye west incident, people say it was the best thing that could have happened to her but it’s definately not, now people are second guessing whether she deserves the recognition, and the answer is yes, she does. She would have recevied all these nominations with or without the antics of kanye west.
@emele:

tru dat
some people (ahem@wow: ) are so sad. they hate someone they dont know! wat the hell, talk about stupid
taylor s we love u!!
the best thing that could have happened to her was joe jonas breaking up with her. then her success kicked in and people pitied her. because of that, her career took off. remind me, didn’t coldplay have this many nominations last year, won many of them and now we haven’t heard anything else about them? that might happen to taylor, and i hope it does. i’m just a bitter old hard core jonas fan who believes THE JONAS BROTHERS DESERVE A FREAKIN AWARD!!! okay, everyone, here is what we are going to do, WE ARE GOING TO TOP THE CHARTS!!! next year, lets get JB a grammy. and taylor, your going down.
Taylor was winning awards before kanye and before joe. She was nominated for a Grammy 2 years ago in the ‘Best New Artist’ category. She won the CMA Horizon Award in 2007. (CMA’s and ACM’s are not fan voted, by the way.) She’s won a lot of ACM awards, like Album of the Year earlier this year. And there are MANY others. So it’s not that anyone feels sorry for her and so she gets nominated. Look at record sales, charts, anything.
@katarine: the jonas brothers do not deserve a grammy award at all. i’m pretty sure they’re the ones that will fade into oblivion next year.
Actually, Miley’s song The Climb did get nominated in a movie song category.
I like Taylor & her music & think she deserves a Grammy in a Country category. However, at 8 nominations I think they are nominating HER instead of her music. Every award show has been brown-nosing her.
And about sales, Britney Spears used to outsell everybdy. So did Nsync. Sales don’t equal quality OR Grammys. 8 nominations is overboard. She has fantastic songwriting skills, but anything under vocal performance categories for her is not right. I love her, but her voice is no great, especially live.
Congrats to all the nominees! Nick J gave a great performance too!
I luv Taylor Swift Songs, but I’m start to be sick of her!!!
oh great ! 8 categories !!!!????????????? hollywood ur losing ur mind !!
Doesnt matter who is better and who has the better music or who is better looking. This is Taylor’s year…she will have to step it up in the next year to keep going. Concerts sold out in 2 minutes, album sales were out of this world….its just her year of glory! Fans put her where she is. I agree she doesnt have the strongest voice, but, she had the talent to catch alot of peoples eyes, votes and money!
Come On! more awards, the only thing this girl has done is play the pity part, yes she had concerts but it’s geared to the tweens and then some. I guess money talks and BS walks. It’s not about quality anymore it’s about MONEY!!!
everyone just tries to bring taylor down.. saying that everyone pities her for the kanye thing or the joe thing.. that’s not true! maybe they did at the time, but not anymore. grammys are nominated but truly recognizable people. if they felt bad for taylor about the kanye thing.. why would kanye be up for awards? they obviously don’t. 8 is awesome! she’s up against a lot of talented people though, who also deserve it. taylor is truly talented. we all can admit she doesn’t have the vocals of beyonce/gaga/etc.. but she is talented, in writing and performing, she’s a great entertainer and is so pertinent to music right now.
okay. first of all, taylor swift has been ignoring most of the comments on kayne’s mic grabbing incident and she doesnt like to talk about it. and she doesnt go around specifically stating that kayne’s a jerk and all. she just makes a joke out of it. she doesnt let ANYONE think she plays the pity part. all she has done is wrote songs about her feelings and situations shes gone through. is that so bad? taylor swift has an amazing voice(no editing is done to her voice if so, its extremely little) unlike all the other artist who need alot more editing! and she plays guitar.. unlike alot of artists like beyonce and BeyedPs. Shes not in it for the money, shes in it because she loves what she does. Shes been singing since she was 2 and she was insistant on becoming a singer and begged her family to move to Nashville. then she got record deals and all. and here she is now. She is simply an amazing song writer, singer, guitar player and person. GO TAYLOR SWIFT!!!
