Jaden Smith shows off his award as he attends the 2010 ShoWest Gala held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel on Wednesday evening (March 17).
The 11-year-old actor was honored as the Breakthrough Male Star of the Year just before a screening of his new movie, The Karate Kid.
The Karate Kid, also starring Jackie Chan, follows Dre (Smith) and his mom (Taraji P. Henson) who make the move to China. While there, Dre embraces karate, taught to him by a master of the self-defense form (Chan).
The flick is set to open June 11.

I’ve always loved his dad and now I’m loving this kid. I think it’s great for him he has a long and bright future ahead of him.
