Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer get flirty in this new sneak peek to their upcoming film, Beastly.

The duo open up in the new featurette from MyCoke.com about the basis of the film and just how much fun they had working on the film.

Vanessa shared, “Lindy is the girl in school who goes unnoticed but of course has a crush on the popular guy [Kyle]. As soon as he changes, he starts to take note in her.”

Also starring Niel Patrick Harris and Mary-Kate Olsen, the film opens on July 30.

Vanessa Hudgens stars as the lovely Lindy Taylor in the upcoming Beastly.

Not only will the 21-year-old actress be honored with costar Alex Pettyfer at Showest in March, but CBS has just announced that they’ll have tons of merchandise to accompany the flick!

Beastly co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer are being honored as ShoWest’s male and female stars of tomorrow!

The 21-year-old actress and her 19-year-old co-star will be honored at an awards ceremony in Las Vegas on March 18, according to THR!

ShoWest, an event exclusively for the cinema exhibition and distribution community, opens March 15 at the Bally’s and Paris hotels in Vegas.

The event’s managing director, Robert Sunshine, called Vanessa and Alex “outstanding young talents”.

“Beastly” author Alix Flinn writes on her blog about the transition from book to film, saying, “Judging from the script, there haven’t been huge changes to the book. Really, only one small plot change (having to do with how Kyle talks Lindy’s dad into letting her stay, and Kyle’s motivations), but it all flows nicely. I can honestly say that, had my editor suggested this change to the book, I would have considered making it. Any other changes are along the lines of cutting a 300+ page book down to a 120-ish page script. Again, since my book isn’t terribly long, this didn’t result in huge changes to the plot.”
