Happy Birthday, Amanda Bynes!
The former What I Like About You leading lady turns 23 today!
Amanda was just recently picked to star in the ABC pilot, Canned, according to Variety.
The comedy will follow a bunch of friends who all get “canned” on the same day. Amanda will play Sarabeth, a naive Midwesterner in the wild world of office politics.
Carpoolers Tim Peper and Cavemen’s Stephenie Lemelin are also set to star.

Newly single Amanda Bynes hits up the My House Nightclub in Los Angeles with a few friends on Friday night (January 17).
The 22-year-old actress will be glad to know that her WB series, What I Like About You, is airing on The N network. Senior VP Sarah Tomassi Lindman says, “Amanda Bynes is a true star to The N’s teen audience and we are thrilled to have her back in the Nickelodeon family.”
What I Like About You airs every day from 8PM to midnight on The N.
Amanda recently split from former Hills star Doug Reinhardt.

Amanda Bynes is picture perfect in Herve Leger as she waves to the crowd at the 2009 Critic’s Choice Awards at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in California on Thursday evening.
The 22-year-old Sydney White starlet enjoyed her holidays with new boyfriend Doug Reinhardt (a.k.a Lauren Conrad’s ex) in the Bahamas at the Cove Atlantis resort. Unfortunately, the duo spent most of their time inside the resort due to windy and overcast weather.
Amanda presented an award with Corbin Bleu at the CCA’s.

Hairspray hottie Amanda Bynes embraces her inner cheetah as she graces the cover of Cosmopolitan’s January 2009 issue.
The 21-year-old actress had a lot to say about where she is in life at the moment - from her career, to dating and even about her clothing line, Dear. Here’s a little of what she had to say:
On the idea of marriage: “I say I never want to get married. I feel trapped with the idea of marriage. How can you really be with somebody forever? I’d get bored! As I get older, I don’t settle. I’d rather tell somebody ‘This is what I want–take it or leave it.’”
On looking ahead in her career: “Something dramatic would be a good next step. I’d love to do something that would shock people, something that’s against type. I feel like people don’t know yet what I can really do.”
On dating actors: “Obviously, Chace Crawford is gorgeous, but I wouldn’t want to date him. He’s too pretty. Maybe he’s a smart guy and maybe he’s my soul mate (laughs), but that’s not the type I go for.”
On her favorite part of her body: “My favorite part of my body is my smile. I have my mom’s.”

The 22-year-old What I Like About You actress is partnering with cosmetic line Mary Kay Inc. to kick-off national online petition to put teen dating violence prevention programs in schools.
Amanda will lead the online effort as she becomes the first person to sign the petition, which encourages states to require teen dating violence prevention programs in schools across the country. Head on over to Ending Dating Violence.com to sign the petition.

The 22-year-old actress recently told In Touch magazine that she was enjoying the single life after parting ways with her boyfriend of two years, Josh Feldman. She shared, “I’m being more social now; I’m just sort of enjoying my youth. I want to meet someone I can have fun with.”
Amanda recently starred opposite Harry Connick, Jr. and Bernadette Peters in Living Proof on Lifetime.
