Victoria Justice’s dream is coming a reality.

The 16-year-old actress will play Tori Vega in the upcoming Nickelodeon show, Victorious.

Tori is a teen who unexpectedly finds herself navigating life at an elite performing arts high school. After her sister Trina (Daniella Monet) has a medical mishap on the night of the school’s annual talent showcase, Tori steps in to perform Trina’s song. Accompanied on the piano by her musically-gifted friend André (Leon Thomas), Tori’s singing and dancing impress the school’s principal so much that she offers her the opportunity of a lifetime – an invitation to become a student at Hollywood Arts High School.

From her first day at the school, Tori feels out of place among the amazingly talented students, especially mean diva Jade (Elizabeth Gillies). With the help of Trina, André and her new friends – brooding bad boy Beck (Avan Jogia, Spectacular!), eccentric Cat (Ariana Grande) and lovable but psychologically scrambled ventriloquist Robbie (Matthew Bennett) – Tori realizes that she was born to perform and that entertaining people not only makes her happy but may change her life.

Victoria dished to the NY Post about her performance scene, saying, “It was actually my first time ever performing in front of people which was pretty intense. But, like my character, once I got on stage, I just completely forgot about everything — I was so in the zone that I loved every second of it.”

The series, premiering in early 2010, will feature original music performed by Victoria and the rest of the cast.

Victoria Justice keeps close to BFF Avan Jogia as they attend the Rock & Republic and Essie “Get It While It’s Matte!” event in Los Angeles late last week.

Spectacular! stars Victoria Justice and Avan Jogia keep close together as they stage their own photo shoot in Vancouver this past weekend.

Victoria, 16, wrote on her official message boards, “Hey everyone! Well I got to sleep in late today, after filming really late last night, (past midnight). It felt really good, knowing that its the weekend. I’ve been having a great time on set filming. We have such a talented cast.

“My friend Avan and I hang out a lot when I’m not filming. Last week we decided to do our own photo shoot. We both love photography and had so much fun doing it. It actually turned out really good. I’ll post some pics below so you guys can see.

“My friend Josh is in town visiting, so we’ll all probably go to downtown Vancouver to hang out, (movies…maybe shopping and definitely eating). There’s this really cool place called 218 flavors of Gelato, mmmmmm…my favorite. We’re so stopping there. xoxo, Vickster.”

Avan Jogia gets soaked from head-to-toe in this this new photo shoot to promote Caprica, a new TV series that acts as a prequel to Battlestar Galactica.

Creator Ronald D. Moore told the Winnepeg Sun of the series, “Caprica at its heart is really the story of the creation of the cylon and how the cylons were developed initially. It’s really the beginning of the end.”

An extended version of the pilot premiered exclusively on DVD and digital download earlier this week. In early 2010, the first season, composed of the two-hour pilot and 18 hour-long episodes, is expected to begin airing on Sci Fi Channel. To order it, visit SciFi.com/Caprica.

Buds Simon Curtis and Avan Jogia sneak around in a local Target store to make sure everyone knows to go and pick up a copy of the Spectacular! soundtrack.

The Spectacular! actors shared, “We’re at Target right now, top secret mission. We’re not supposed to have cameras in here!”

Simon even pimped out Avan’s other Nick flick, Gym Teacher. “There’s something else that comes out on February 3rd. Gym Teacher starring the one-and-only Avan Jogia. This is a very special moment for us because it’s my first time ever to have a CD in stores.”

The Nickelodeon made-for-TV musical is about a high school choir that is fading in popularity. A wannabe rock singer, Nikko (Nolan Gerard Funk) is convinced to join the choir by Courtney (Tammin Sursok), in hopes of winning the upcoming competition and cash prize.

The soundtrack features 12 rockin’ songs that you can jam out to before the movie airs! You can preview the whole soundtrack @ MTV’S The Leak.

Spectacular! stars Simon Curtis, Victoria Justice, Avan Jogia and Andrea Lewis have fun together, dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” on late Tuesday night.

The foursome previewed the soundtrack to their upcoming movie-musical earlier in the evening. You can preview the whole Spectacular! soundtrack on The Leak at MTV.
