Bridgit Mendler pokes fun at on-screen brother Jason Dolley in this new still from Good Luck Charlie.

In the premiere episode, “Study Date,” Amy (Leigh-Allyn Baker) is fretting as she returns to work as a nurse, but Bob (Eric Allan Kramer) reassures her that they have a support system to care for Charlie (Mia Telerico).

However Teddy’s (Mendler) distracted by a cute classmate, PJ (Dolley) is trying to have a jam session with his friend and Gabe (Steven Perry) is feeling as if their territory has been invaded. When Bob slips and falls on the stairs, Charlie is put in the sole care of Teddy and PJ drives his dad to the hospital, where they go to great lengths to avoid mom.

“Study Date” premieres Sunday, April 4th @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney Channel, right after the network premiere of High School Musical 3.

The series which revolves around three siblings (Mendler, Dolley and Bradley Perry), whose parents enlist their help when they return to work after the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte, aka Charlie.

Disney Channel Worldwide President of Entertainment Gary Marsh told Multichannel News about the new kind of sitcom to the Channel, “What we really want to do is set up a true family sitcom that has kids and family storylines as a way to flex the brand,. For many years we lived in a world of high concept shows — a girl who is a secret pop star, a girl who has psychic abilities — but this is very low concept, traditional sitcom, and the comedy comes from the reality of the characters that we built.”

GLC will premiere on April 4th after the network television premiere of High School Musical 3.

Bridgit Mendler gets Popstar! mag up to par on what she and the cast do in their down time on the set of Good Luck Charlie.

The 17-year-old budding actress also dished out her advice on guys and gossip and even revealed possible plans to make a record.

Bridgit is featured on the new Disney Mania 7, singing “When She Loved Me” from Toy Story 2, which hits stores on March 7.

Good Luck Charlie, also starring Jason Dolley, is set to premiere later this year.

Bridgit Mendler shows off her pearly whites before dishing to Popstar! mag a little bit about the hijinks that happen in her upcoming series, Good Luck Charlie.

The 17-year-old actress shared, “There’s lots of excitement because it’s the kids taking care of the baby while the parents are at work so of course the kids have to get into trouble. There’s a couple episodes where the baby gets lost, we’re juggling a lot of things, and lots of complications.”

Happy Birthday, Bridgit Mendler!

The Good Luck Charlie starlet turns 17 today!

JJJ recently caught up with Bridgit during Variety’s Power of Youth event earlier this month and chatted a bit about her role in the upcoming Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.

Bridgit shared about working with the chipmunks, “I’m really excited to see it come out. It was fun because you’re working with all sorts of animated characters. I was basically talking and working with air (laughs). It was so cool.”

In the upcoming animated and live action flick, Alvin, Simon and Theodore (voiced by Jesse McCartney) end up in the care of Dave Seville’s twenty-something nephew Toby (Zachary Levi). The boys must put aside music superstardom to return to school, and are tasked with saving the school’s music program by winning the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands. But the Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as The Chipettes -– Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette.

Good Luck Charlie’s Bridgit Mendler also stars in the movie.

Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel hits theaters on Wednesday, December 23.
