• Miley Cyrus checked out of Hollywood for the weekend, heading to the desert with a group of pals for some fun in the sun. The actress and her friends settled in at the Viceroy Palm Springs, and shared a fun-filled afternoon playing Twister in one of the hotel’s grassy courtyards.

Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin, is the latest of many guest starts to appear on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

The episode of Secret Life will shoot this summer in Los Angeles and air during the third season, which just started filming this week.

Bristol will play herself, as one of Amy’s (Shailene Woodley) friends at a music program for teen mothers.

Series creator and executive producer Brenda Hampton shared, “Bristol Palin is the most famous teenage mother in America. We’re thrilled to have her join us, and I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that we’ve been exploring for a couple of seasons now.”
