Carter Jenkins shows off long time gal pal and on-screen girlfriend Emma Roberts as they attend the premiere of Valentine’s Day held at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on Monday evening (February 8).

The 18-year-old actor may be in the romantic comedy film, but wasn’t feeling the spirit this morning. Carter tweeted, “I bought a girl flowers from 1-800-flowers once and now I get an email every single night about their special offers. Very annoying.”

The flick follows the intertwining storylines of a diverse group of Los Angelenos as they navigate their way through romance and heartbreak over the course of one Valentine’s Day. Couples and singles experience the pinnacles and pitfalls of finding, keeping or ending relationships in a day in the life of love.

Emma, who plays Grace, was also spotted out shopping at InterMix in Manhattan NYC on Tuesday afternoon (January 26). She picked up a super cute black floor-length skirt from Elizabeth and James.

Valentine’s Day hits theaters on Friday, February 12.

Carter Jenkins holds up a heavy toaster in his arms in this new shot from The Fame issue of The Block magazine.

The 18-year-old Valentine’s Day actor opened up about the trials of transitioning from child to adult actor. Carter shared, “There aren’t many actors who have been able to make that kind of transition [from child actor] and come out good at the end and still have their career and have played good roles.”

He continued, “If the actual act of acting isn’t the payoff or isn’t the reward, all the ridiculousness will get to you and I just don’t see it being worth it… I don’t want to be a celebrity, I want to be an actor.”
