Kirsten Prout recently sat down with PopEater to chat about all things Eclipse, Tae Kwon Do and the Vatican. Check out what the 19-year-old actress had to say:

On how she won the role of Lucy: “I just got the call. I went for one of the other vampires, Bree, and the vampire Bree is supposed to be thirteen years old with very short brown hair. So physically I was absolutely wrong for the part. But I went in, and the casting director and the director liked me so much that they said, ‘OK, you know what? We have another part.’ So they fit me in through that audition, into Lucy, who is also a newborn vampire, and she actually is the one who turns Jasper, which is interesting. The thing about Lucy is that she has long blond hair and very very pale blue eyes and skin, so physically I was a big match for Lucy. I went in for one more audition for Lucy and I ended up showing up on set a few days later.”

On finishing her tae kwon do training while filming Elektra: “I did tae kwon do for a very long time, and I made it to recommended black. I consider myself a black belt just because…(laughs) I got recommended black belt, and then I got Elektra and I couldn’t go to class anymore, but I had four personal trainers, who were all trained in tae kwon do and various martial arts. I did all my own stunts. (laughs) I pretty much finished my training there.”

On the Vatican condemning the Twilight franchise: “As for the Vatican…the Vatican pretty much condemns everything. It condemned Harry Potter. (laughs) Anything bigger than the actual church is condemned a lot of the time. To have attention, and that kind of fandom and that dedication, I think that’s unattractive to them. And it’s kind of expected. Vampires, mythical creatures of the night. I mean, look at the witch hunts and all these things that have happened with the Vatican. It’s a topic that they don’t really like to discuss a lot. It is what it is. And everyone is going to have their different reactions and everyone is entitled to say what they want….And it’s just a movie at the end of the day…just go in and enjoy the movie! Take it for what it is. It’s make-believe. It’s a teenage franchise. It’s a lot of fun.”

On one of his fave bands of the moment: “I’m really into this new African band called The Very Best. There’s this amazing track on their album, The Warm Heart of Africa, called ‘Chikondi.’ It’s got that kind of magnetic feel to it.”

On becoming obsessed with Lost: “Bryce [Dallas Howard] actually got me a DVD set of Lost which I really want to get into. I don’t really watch that much these days, but I’ll admit I used to watch Dawson’s Creek and The O.C. growing up in Australia.”

On filming Eclipse in Vancouver: “Playing Riley was cool–I get to boss around a bunch of newborn vampires. I had a really good time hanging out with everyone in Vancouver. I play the guitar, so Jackson [Rathbone] and I had a few jams together–Rob [Pattinson] plays as well, he’s really good. It’s kind of awesome when you go to the other side of the world and find a bunch of people who are all into music and like the same bands as you.”

Kirsten Prout is excited to play a vampire from the usual roles she gets offered.

The 19-year-old actress chatted with Limelife about whose team she’s on, being Lucy and playing a vampire. Check it:

On switching up roles from being the girl next door: “[It's] a good change because for a long time it was that little dimpled girl next door, and everyone’s going to be like ’she’s biting someone!’”

On if she’s Team Edward or Team Jacob: “Okay, I am team Edward, I am sorry Jacob fans but it’s Edward, they [Bella and Edward] are meant to be together.”

On her character, Lucy the vampire: “The character is extremely predatory and what’s amazing about playing a vampire is you are a predator and you lure in your pray and then you turn on them.”

Twilight costars Anna Kendrick and Christian Serratos roll their luggage behind them as they arrive at Vancouver International Airport in Vancouver on Friday afternoon (October 23).

Anna, 24, was spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles a few hours later. The two Twi-humans just wrapped up filming Eclipse. Christian tweeted, “Picture wrap! Eclipse was so much fun. Lets celebrate!”

Jackson Rathbone gets held up from his prey by costar family Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz in this new still from the upcoming The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The 24-year-old actor recently caught up with MTV to dish on Jasper Hale, his upcoming projects and possibly having his band 100 Monkeys on the Eclipse soundtrack. Check it:

On going from one character to the other: “It’s interesting to go from a character that’s not superhuman [in Girlfriend] to a vampire [Jasper Hale] that is very mythical. It’s one of these things where Ive been bouncing around between all these different characters. Its fun. It gets a little confusing.”

On Jasper’s backstory: “It was just really fantastic to get to delve in there and to get to don all the Civil War regalia and whatnot. That was a pleasure. I had to wear this wool suit of a major, cavalry major. I got the big hat and everything. Hop off the horse, bow to these ladies, and then I get eaten. And then I get turned!”

On 100 Monkeys scoring a spot on the Eclipse soundtrack: “It’s been talked about, but it’s one of those things. We’re going to be kind of giving some of our songs off of our upcoming album for them to see if they want to put on Eclipse. We’d love it. [But] we’re not really pushing for it. It’s one of those things where if they want to put our song on the album, I’m not going to complain.”

Kyle XY actress Kirsten Prout has been cast in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as vampire Lucy.

According to BD Horror News, the 19-year-old Canadian-born actress has been cast as the tall, blond and pale vampire who is a part of Jasper’s (Jackson Rathbone) past.

Lucy the Vampire helped form a bloodsucker army along with the mood-manipulator’s maker Maria (Catalina Sandino Moreno) and fellow vamp Nettie. She was later killed by Jasper and Maria after turning on them.

On their favorite eatery: “The cast has gone there four times over the past two or three weeks. But the majority of the time they’re staying in and ordering takeout. They’ve had pizza and Chinese delivered on numerous occasions,” an insider dished.

On Kellan Lutz’s mid-summer visitor: AnnaLynne McCord, paid him a two-day visit back in August. “AnnaLynne really missed him. She just loves his whole bad-boy persona,” the insider shared.

On the mobs of fans waiting to see their favorite stars: “It’s like Beatlemania,” cameo star Jack Huston said. “These kids have 100 people waiting outside their hotels. It’s crazy.”

On Peter Facinelli scaring his own kids when in character: “They think it’s creepy,” Peter’s wife, Jennie Garth says. “It just isn’t Daddy. But they all have T-shirts with Dr. Carlisle’s face on them. They wear them all the time — they’re very proud.”

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson chat it up with director David Slade on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in Vancouver on Wednesday morning (September 23).

Recent Emmy winner Alec Baldwin recently dished to E Online at the award show, commenting on who he would love to have on his NBC hit show, 30 Rock.

Alec shared, “Uh…I don’t know [about Robert], I’m sure shows like Desperate Housewives want him. There’s no shortage of opportunities for him. But our writers don’t write for stars, with one exception, and that would be Oprah.”
