Also starring Alex Pettyfer, the flick is about sixteen year-old Poppy (Roberts) is a spoiled rich kid getting and doing everything she wants. But when a prank goes too far, she is shipped off to a British boarding school. No cell phones, no designer clothes, no fun. At her wits end she sets in motion the ultimate escape plan involving the head mistress’ son (Pettyfer), but she soon realizes that he could be the reason she wants to stay.

Emma Roberts shows off her lighter locks as she leaves Bryon Williams Hair Salon in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon (November 12).

The 18-year-old actress, who was seen out with boyfriend Dathan Kuppin late last week, is set to star opposite Zach Galifianakis and Viola Davis in Funny Story, according to THR.

Funny Story is a comedy-drama adaptation of Ned Vizzini’s 2006 novel which centers on 16-year-old Craig (Keir Gilchrist) who, stressed out from the demands of being a teenager, checks himself into a mental health clinic. He learns that the youth ward is closed and finds himself stuck in the adult ward.

Emma’s BFF Zoe Kravitz, Lauren Graham and Jim Gaffigan also star. Shooting begins in New York in early December.

4.3.2.1 is the story of three days in the lives of four girls who are unknowingly connected by a major diamond robbery. The film also stars Ophelia Lovibond, Tamsin Egerton, Shanika Warren Markland, and Rosanna Arquette and is set to premiere in the UK in 2010.
